Okay so recently I went to check on a game that used to be hosted here or on Ultima Island I think and guess what? I found out it still exists! Shocking right? Most RPG maker 2003 games never get completed after years and year of work and if they do they vanish but hey here's Ara Fell:

Pretty nice looking ain't it? Just one thing....It's Commercial. That made me to do a double take until I saw it again and again on Steam....People are selling RPG maker 2003 made games. At least they appear to be RPG maker 2003 games. Somebody wanna explain this? And if we can I propose we really polish up some of the Chain Games, especially the new one, and actually host them on Steam or some high traffic site and make some money for Charas!

As long as we use copyrighted material we cannot publish them on steam in exchange for money. Firstly we need to make the games with the official maker, not the pirated ones, secondly we would have to remove all trademarked characters, exchange sound and music and so on.
Using copyrighted material and releasing it for a non-commercial use is fine since we are not making money from another person's work.
Also, you need to register on Enterbrain's site for some commercial flipflop and if the game you publish happen to break those rules, eh, kneecapped.
PS, I hate when people use phrases like "16-bit game" when the game is not 16bits

Yeah Fishy. Non copy righted music and graphics are hard to find. I like my mondo spooky piano organ I have for the Specter Nine's battle themes but it's actually Ganon's theme from Wind Waker enhanced. If I did what you suggested I would have to pay somebody to make another version or do it myself. I'm not in gamming for the money, I just love playing indie games like Wrath of Gaia or OFF and I love making silly adventures of ghostly non-sense

What purple said, also it cost 100usd for every game you want to put up on steam. And not to mention the headache of setting up a company and distribute the income to all the people who worked on the games.

is it 100usd now on Steam? Makes sense though since steam is getting flooded with games.
I remember back in the days when steam was mostly games made by valve. Then **** exploded.
