Okey, currently I got myself into fixing resources rejected from Charas, mainly Battle Char resources. I asked Alex to send the rejected resources to me. Unfortunately I needed a place to post these fixed files, so this is the topic.
I will also post the complete rejected files, or sometimes post a certain comment.
The first resource I fixed was a real creative one. I fixed Apex' resource with number 1078004573. I really had to pull off some tricks, like almost-white and the actual spriting job. Luckily I already practiced with Kevin Keene (sprite shown in avatar).
Hopefully this gets sticky, so that I can always use this topic to post fixes.
Don't mind if I double post, right Alex? Because I want to make a seperate post for each update.
Anyways, comments about Apex' resource:
Some black lines in part A were gone, certain poses didn't fit with the resource. Actually, almost all didn't fit. Try, when ripping, to either use almost-white and not delete the hands or to just sprite around everything. Also, in the first pose, the powerup thing was still shown in the form of deleted parts of the clothing. Last thing, remove every part of the skin. It saves me a lot of work.

FARK!!! FORGOT TO ATTACH!!!
Okey, again:

Comments on Warxe_PhoenixBlade:
It looks like these were made for a new section or something. Every resource you've posted fit with the body resources you posted. Please reply on this. Also, Alex, comment on this too. I'm retouring the sprites of Warxe_PhoenixBlade.

Why dident you just edit your post?

Oh yeahhhh...
SaiKar posted a topic awhile back asking for a female base for the BChar section. I was going to do some stuff for it, but I guess I forgot. Thanks for reminding me, Gary.

The following resources are rejected because of unfixibility:
All of Megaman X' resources.

I've uploaded Apex's fix.
About Warxe_PhoenixBlade's new set, there are body, face and dress: i'd need at least another dress, some hair and some items in order to open a new section for it.
Thank you, Gary!

"Sprite around everything"?

How long does it take for you guys to upload a resource? I used the share resource like 2 days ago, and haven been able to view it in the dresses section. If possible I'd like to know what is wrong with it.
My resource features "normal man 3" dress which is lacking in the Battlechar creator.
-
I guess you're the user named "Cybore", evenif now you have a "Cybore8" nickname.
Well: generally my upload times are very variable, it really depends on how much freetime i have.
Anyhow, your dress is really misplaced: I really have few time to upload, so if the resource need adjustments too the upload time may be weeks or even months.
If you'd like to see it online, the best thing would be you to fix it and then re-share.
Here, to understand what's wrong, the "body test" of the A set (B is misplaced as well:

Hey alex I see now what you are trying to say. Little thing that puzzles me, Is why would a body be needed for my dress? Not to complain or anything, but I've tested my edit on rm03 and created several nice characters. These little creations are a little time consuming , specially when you're a beginner. I just think you guys shouldn't be that strict on the resources and maybe more people will start creating them. By the way, I think there's a "blacksuit by juanosarg" in the battlechar generator that has around the same poses as my edit. He used white to conceal several of the body parts (don't know how he did that).
I went through it again and just fixed a small problem on the defending animation. I'll send my last revision; see if you can fix it?

Of course i can fix it, but i need time.
But... you think we shouldn't be that strict?
The generator is a generator.
The good thing is you can have your chara and try to change its face, its hairs, its dress....
To make this possible, all the resources MUST have something common: and this "something" is the first layer, the image that could be called the "blank paper".
And that image is the base body.
The reason?
Just imagine you have an alien character in your game.
On with a green skin, i mean.
What if you see a green chara... with pink hands????
That's why hands and visible skin parts should be transparent (white): this way, the body color will solve the task.
Unfortunatly i'm still adjusting some battlechar generator resources which still have visible skin parts (in charas there is no one dress with visible skin parts).
Yes, you saw resources like the blacksuit by juanosarg: different poses are possible, and the way to do it is called "the almost white trick". You can find info on it and on its usage in the docs page (SMB and Gary's tutorials:
http://charas-project.net/docs.php?lang=en
I know the problem about the time consuming: but it's impossible for me to consume the time needed to fix everything!
Moreover, i'm not an experienced spriter: i just learned how to fix resources not being able to draw one by myself.
This is what i ask Charas users in exchange: a bit of their time for the whole "machine" to work.
