It's me, Ruler of the Dark! I'm making a game called Dark world. I'm using rm2k3.

Gender: Female
Age: 18
Weapon: Magic Dust
Special Skills: White Magic, Summon

Name: Eric
Gender: Male

Weapon: Iron Knuckles, etc...
Special Skills: Black Magic, Focus

Name: Von
Gender: Male
Age: 20
Weapon: Bow/Arrows
Special Skills: Bow Techs, [STRIKE]Weather Magic[/STRIKE] Jump

Story Line
501 years ago, a dark evil purged the land of Kelia. This unnamed evil used it's malevolent powers to posses people's minds through 'shadows'. It took 7 high mages to banish this evil. This was still after 100 years of battle. The high mages' descendants were bound to guard the threshold between Kelia and the Dark Realm, the place where the evil was banished to. However, the evil had planned for this and had a powerful person 'shadowed'.
It has taken 400 years for this bewitched being to find a way to resurrect it's master. Now on the 501st year after the evil event, the possesed human is bringing the evil one back. The fate of Kelia, and maybe much more, are in the hands of four people. Thus the beginning of the Dark World saga!

Ha ha. Demo. I just started this game today. Not the story, I've been working on that for a while (I have more then I wrote, but if I put any more it would spoil the element of suprise :D ). I have no idea when the demo'll be out.

-Main Menu (NumPad1)
-Skill learning menu (NumPad2)
-Options menu (NumPad3)
-[STRIKE]Help menu (NumPad0)[/STRIKE] Fairy helps you instead.
-Minigames
-Side/Secret quests
-Optional Endings
-Big Side quest which greatly influences the ending
-Instrument system (Similar to Zelda: OoT and MM)

Umm... sorry, but the storyline sounds just like "Zelda: A link to a past".
Even the number of mages is right.

Zelda didn't have shadows.
I can change the number of mages too, it was just a number, no significance.

That's hardly the point. It's just like saying the main character isn't called Link. It makes no real difference.

But it's not really like zelda, except for the evil being banished and revived. But that's in alot of games.

I dunno, I think this game looks great, and the story seems perfectly original to me. Maybe Red Giant has something against inspiration. :badboy:

looks a great game and i dont know zelda games very well.the problem is that with all that functions and endings thi game will take a loooong time to be finished...

No, I am using pictures for the extra menus

I find it easiest to use chipsets and charasets for custom menus, but it doesn't look nearly as spiffy.

Could somebody make this better?
Its my intro background and it just looks bad. If you can't tell, it needs an evil thing chasing people, 1 being possesed, people bowing to it, 7 mages banishing it, 7 mages guarding the seal, and some guy with a magic summoning circle. This thing needs to look like it was made by aboriginals or something ancient

It'd look better if it was carved into a rock or something (most ancient civilizations didn't have paper).

Wow, this IS starting to look like Zelda.
I think for the number of mages should be 5 so they can go in a circle and make the devil star thing.

Well, in my opinion, the only real similarity between this and zelda is the instrument stuff and some bgms. Other than that, this whole thing came out of my onw head.

Wow. Although, well done on your part for making an instrument system, that is reeeeal Zeldaish.
I'd change the instrument at least. Is the ocarina important? 'Cos mad Zelda lovers will hate you for this.

Update on Story
In the start of the game, you are in a reactor/factory. Along with 2 other recruits of the Filinean Army and a commander, you are finding out why the energy flow is stoping. It is a broken Machine, but you discover a secret monster creation project under the reactor.....

I hate lots of cliches. Some are ok to have, some might even improve the game (if it sucks already anyway). But that's besides the point. I really don't think it's too great of an idea to have a ocarina or zelda music system in the game (copyright infringemnets!). That is unless you give them kudos.

I'm using the instrument systems because I thought it was cool. I'm not going to sell my game so it's not illegal for copyrights.

clinches? I made this thing out of my own head. The only clinches I can see are great evil and special saviors.
