Title: Becoming a resource checker/Stealing from Japanese sites.
Post by: Sarl on June 10, 2004, 10:54:05 PM
Hello. Though I don't post often on this board, I would be very interested in helping root out thieves.
However, there are so many stolen resources here that I cannot begin to list them. I would like to help this site by becoming a moderator, and my focus will be on stolen resources from Japanese sites.
I have some minor japanese reading ability, and I would greatly like to help Charas become a reputable member of the RPG maker community.

Though others might disagree, my motto is "if you didn't make it, don't post it, even if you do credit the original author."

I also was working on the monsters, deleting those that were taken from wild pudding and those that are re-rips or bad rips.

OK. It's just that I would really like to do this out of respect to the original artists...but, you seem to be doing ok.

Anyhow Sarl's help is truly appreciated.
I don't know how many of us can read a single word of japanese without babelfish's help ^^.
If you'll find something around the net, feel free to post here everything. This is exactly the sense of this team: you alert about suspected resources, they verify/fix them as needed.

I'm so glad to see team members and users cooperating in making Charas more respectable every day!

I think Sarl's help with the Japanese sites would be invaluable.  I've noted that many Japanese sites forbid posting thier resources on any other site and since I can't read a single word, just trying to navigate such sites gives me a headache.
