DON'T COPY ANY FILE IN YOUR PROJECT! ALWAYS IMPORT THE RESOURCES! OR YOU CAN LOST YOUR MAPS (MAP-TREE-BREAK)

:yell: lol what do you mean ALWAYS IMPORT??? :badboy:  i just put the sets i want in the GAME'S FILE. It works for me 100% no matter what color the bg is. :smoke:
For example, [...]\project\whatevergame\charset\
that's where i put all my charsets that i want to show up imported...and as for music, sounds...bla bla bla, just put them in the CORRECT folder, as long as it's not in the [...]\RTP\charset\ folder. [...] is which folder you've installed rm2k(3)...the default for rm2k should be C:\Program Files\AscII\ and for rm2k3 C;\Program Files\rpg2003...
i said it once, i'll say it again, it works 100% for me. hehehe forgive me if you see any rudeness in this post...it's just my adrenaline rush...it keeps activating every now and then nowadays...  :smoke:

I say it only, becaus i know many reports, that it can crash you projekt. (btw: This reports was before Charas.EX exist, with all PNGs, so it is not a problem with Charas.EX).

I say it, because i don't want, that somebody say: Nobody had said this to my...

this means you didn't set a transparent color

I agree with GPI.
I never copy files in the folders.
I always import them.
When you only copy them there could be a "map-tree-brake".
And when you make a gamedisk it will only import the files to the gamedisk that you have importet and not the ones you' ve copied.
And it doesn't work everytime to copy them.
There could be the background around it because the rm2k makes the color transparent which is first in the pallette.
And this isn't always the background color.
But when you import you can set transparent color.
E.g. when you make charas with charas.ex they will have the background arround them if you don't import them, beacause the first color in the pallette isn't the background color.
You see the problem?

Ok, my turn. I have that same colored border around my charsets. Then, when I tried to use the import feature, RPGMaker 2000 tells me that the picture is illegal size.

Yeah. A little after this post I got it working again. I just didn't read the part about clicking the background. Thanks anyway.
