Title: Phoenix Dream

I'm hoping to finish my project this year even thou I am only 15% through it right now, I have 75% of the total plot but only 25% written down so far.

My game is called; Phoenix Dream. I have been planning this game since 2003, I was always try to improve the storyline and the graphics.

Anyway here is the Intro to Phoenix Dream:

Intro.

The year is 2010.
The Earths economy is rising. All wars are over, because there is no more reason to fight. The reason for this a new fuel that lasts about forever because its molecules are so thick that only one molecule is burned in an hour. Entire cities are being buildet for the soul use of this new fuel. The fuel is named PHOENIX because of its bright red/orange colour and its and its ability to burn so long.
It's no longer a way to awake electricity.
It's the only way to survive...

The year is 2059
A disaster has occurred in the center of Karves. For an unknown reason, the main factory of the SPARK Corporation had exploded, and blown away most of the city . There are only few survivors which flee to the neighboring town, Shenma.

*Action Sequence*
Varin (7), Drogun (10) and their Father, were on there way home (In the Train Station) when the main factory of SPARK Corp. blew up. Varin was found unconscious on the floor shortly after the accident. Drogun and their Father were never found. People don't know what they can expect any more for the origin and ingredients of PHOENIX are unknown. SPARK Corp. wishs not to give out any information, the people are powerless, they are within the might of SPARK... The accident is soon forgotten, as well as any further dangers that may lie in PHOENIX...


The year is 2069
Varin is on is way to the police station when on the Police radio a call came in,
Radio - All units...all units report to SPARK Corp. Building....IMMEDIATELY!
Varin - Dam...and I thought it was going to be a quiet day.

So far I have about three problems on my hand concerning PD, Phoenix Dream, is;
Puzzles, Battle System & Graphics.

Puzzle:
Well I posted a demo just to see what people think of it so far and they said there should be a puzzle, so I put in a puzzle the only problem is its way too easy and need some help with that.

Battle System:
I basicly have no idea how to make the battles intresting. They're long and boring so I need some help with that aswell.

Graphics:
I really need some Facesets & Battle Animations so if anyone could do that please.

If you can help me in anyway please PM.
All comments are welcome so please post about the screenshots or even the story.

I'm afraid I can't help you with any of those problems.. :(

Oh WOW, this game has real potential. I can just feel it. Five thumbs up!

Hey I remember reading about this game a while back on WoTM. Anyway yeah it looks really good.

Puzzles are easy to add. All you have to do is find a "dungeon" that you want to add something to, and make a puzzle. For example, you need to push 3 buttons in a certain amount of time to make a door open. Little stuff like that makes the "dungeons" a lot better.

As for the battle system. If it seems kinda boring heres a few things that can help.
-Get good battle music (really important)
-Make less battles
-Give your characters and the monsters skills to use instead of just attacking.
-have more than one member fighting the battle (its really boring if you just have one guy fighting a bunch of monsters)
-Get cool graphics, but make sure they all fit. for example if all your monsters have dull colors, you don't want to add a monster that has tons of bright colors.

Well thats about all the advice I can give

About the Battles;

Argh... well a the start he was meant to have no skills sicne hes meant to be in the "real" world not the fantasy world

Once he goes into the fantasy world he will have a bunch of friends... but I guess... I could make another cop go round with him until he goes into the fantasy world

Colors are no problem... but the graphics for the main character kind of suck... hes meant to be hold/using a gun but its not even in his hand...

 :bend: these are mainly not the problem of the battle thou... the problem is that I have increased the health and stuff like that so when the hero hits he only takes like 1 - 5 off the boss but the other enemies 20 - 22 but they have still abit off health.

Well I do have a Puzzle a switch thing which is to open a door... but its just too simple... I asked a friend if he would play my game he said sure... about 30mins later I asked him how did he find the puzzle... and he replyed what puzzle, lol, he didn't even relise it was meant to be a puzzle lol.
