Hello, I'd like to introduce you to my first proyect ever, the first of a series of stories I've created called Eden Lost. This chapter is set in a near future, where the player assumes the role of Donovan, an average guy who suddenly becomes the leader of a group of teenagers who try to flee Sanik City after a catastrophe erupts, resulting in darkness devouring the city and the appearance of vile creatures and mysterious characters in the city. The game's still pretty incomplete, as I'm trying to make some special features, such as a RE-like system where you equip firearms with special catridges that enhance their effectiveness against certain monster types. Anyway, I'll be posting some screens soon, so stay tuned; and please tell me your opinion, because I've been thinking several times about throwing the proyect away, but I think futuristic "not usual save the world" kind of games are scarce, right¿?

this is interesting, but plz, try to spell "proyect" this way: project.
I hope for god that you don't have any grammar mistakes in your
game. :hi:
and by the way you said "first project"...well luck. Your a newbie by
the way.....no offense.

Oh, sorry for the spelling mistake. I speak Spanish you see, and the word in spanish is "proyecto", so I got confused. Sorry, and plz someone tell me how to put several pics in a single post! Oh, I'm so helpless!

I'm spanish-speaker too! To put more than a picture, try using a winzip file that's filled with the pictures you want to show.

Those are enemies from Final Fantasy 3 (or 6)

Well even though this is your first project, the story doesn't seem to be cliche, and it doesn't look like your using any of the rpt graphics, so it actually looks good :D
Anyway good luck!

If you want to show multiple pictures in a post without having to zip them, get a free webpage or go to photobucket.com and upload your pics. Then copy the urls for the pics and then use the img code when you are posting. I hope that helps.

This looks very good. I seem to be attracted to it for no apparant reason. Hope all goes well!

I've finally uploaded some pics, but I'll be putting a lot more later. I deleted the old posts since I considered it a waste of time to load the same pic twice. Anyway, the first one shows Solice, one of tha game's main characters. Solice is a berserker kind of guys, often arguing and discussing with pretty much anyone. His best friend is Victor, and when they are together certain special moved can be performed (I think I haven't seen anything like this in other rpg projects, a Steiner-Vivi kind of system; I think it's a good idea, what do you think). He is also the drummer of Moon Shift, a band he formed along with Victor (bass), Donovan (guitar/main character), and Kayla (vocals, playable character). The band is not only a detail to the story, or at least it is an important detail. Come on, how many rpgmk heroes join to play and have some drinks ere catastrophe?!?

Victor is Solice's total opposite; he is kind and caring for others, qualities often mistaken as weakness by the team. He is Moon Shift's very own bass guitar player. Victor carries his bass (I know I said guitar before, but a bass guitar IS a kind of guitar, isn't it?), which he uses to play tunes with various effects on the battlefield.

The guy with blue/white/ hair is Donovan, Moon Shift founder and guitar player. Oh right, he's also the game's main character. Donovan is a silent kind of guy (though he likes to curse a lot. Come on, he's a real teenager for God's sake!). Donovan becomes the leader of the team, though he oftens questions his ability to lead. He attacks using handguns. (Gee, a hero that doesn't use swords, THAT is new!). The blond guy is...he actually doesn't have a name yet, though his role in the story is already defined. I decided I'll put the name of a fellow rpger, so post your names and you might appear in my game (yay!). The only requirement is that you tell me the game in which the character in my avatar appears. (It's easy, specially if you are old enough to remember the 8 bit NES, or the Gray Brick as I call it). So post your answer as well as your name and I'll choose the best one.

Dr. Dyne Valard is the character that appears in the game's intro. I'm not telling you what his role is, but it is quite important. Evil? Maybe. Poetic? Kind of. You must recognize one thing, however, he sure can freak the hell out of his assistant with that freaky "....." silence thing. He could be a playable character, I'm not telling.

The guys stand in front of an area devoured by darkness, completely unaware that it is merely the beginning of something bigger; unaware of their role in a battle for their right to exist.

Donovan in a military base during a part where the party is separated (more info in next posst).

The catridge system I talked about. There will be flame, ice, acid, vaccine and electric rounds besides the basic ones, which will enhance the effectiveness of a Magnum Gun. The menu can be accesed anytime in the field by pressing the "1" key.(As in real life, right?)

That's it for now, I'll post more lately, including pics of a Moon Shift gig during the intro, which I'm kinda proud of since I drew the instruments and character poses, and it's so cute to see them move to the sound of Hoobastank's Crawling in the Dark, the game's title music up to now.

Ok, a new set of pics, some of which are not actual scenes of the game, but they help me show you some scenarios and other sprites. Right, first we have a pic of a Moon Shift gig which takes place during the intro. Notice Donovan's headbangin'.

This pic shows a facility that appears in the intro, where a certain blue haired man clad in a green cape is.

"Oh yeah, it's all fun and laughter until Solice enters Berserk Mode. Run for cover!!!

Sanik City's very own military area...kinda devastated.

At times your party is separated and you'll have to choose a certain party or character to play as, each with a different route and events. So in order to fully know the story you'll have to play it more than once. (Ok, you may not, but it'd be great.)

Solice walks through the smoldering streets of Sanik City. This is an example of a side-quest, which may be triggered when certain characters are in your party and certain choices are made. Their completition not only reveal more of the story, but may influence on further events.

Victor and Kayla in a Subway conpartment. Kayla is a very tough character person who often stands up for Victor, who's very passive. This is misunderstood at times, and it usually becomes Solice's main target for jokes. Oh right, and Victor is a smoker. (Thought it'd be a detail that would add realism to the character.)

Is there a cooler way to celebrate defeating an evil monster rampage than standing cool with your guitar while air waves your hair???

Meet the Valkyrie. Friend or foe?

Moon Shift's way of parading after beating the living crap out of a bunch of mutants. Too bad Solice's drum set isn't what you could call "hand luggage".

That's it for now, I do have more pics to show you, but I'll post them later, maybe. Seriously guys, I'd like to hear your comments, what you like and what you think is pure crap, so that when the demo comes out it may actually be quality work. Oh, one last thing, any logo/banner makers plz contact me; I'd love to have one of my game for my siggy. Thanks.
-
Yay, I finally have a banner. It sucks as hell, but at least I have one now.
-
your first project looks good after all. :bend:

It looks amazing. Bravo.
-
