For about two months, I've been working on my Chrono Trigger sequal, Chrono Crisis. I know what you're thinking... fan games almost never turn out anywhere near as good as the original, but I've truly been working to get the feel of Trigger, and even surpass it. I've made a ton of maps, which look exactly like the originals, and new maps to blend in. With some assistance, I'm getting new sprites for the game as well, and I have all the original characters, as well as a brand new cast of characters. Here is the proof of my labor, my screenshots:

    My game is divided into 5 parts, the prologue that is played at the beginning, that takes place DIRECTLY after Trigger from when Crono's mom gets sucked into a time portal, to when Crono and Nadia get married.

After the prologue is completed, there are three scenarios to play through:

The Guardian War Scenario (Crono, Nadia, and Lucca)   1005 A.D.

The New Generation Scenario (Xavier, Celia, and Matison)    1999 A.D.

A Bright New Future? Scenario (Luccia, Robo, and Atropos)     2300 A.D.

 In each scenario, you start with three characters, and more join up later, and eventually when all three scenarios are completed, in the order you choose, the characters all join together, and that's halfway through the game. The rest of the game you play through regularly.

   Here's the basic story to avoid spoilers:

 Crono, Nadia, and Lucca discover that someone has been erasing key people and places for a long time to get rid of them, because they changed the future, and when more of their world starts to vanish, they have to travel through time to prevent it from happening, and save the places that have already been destroyed that they never even knew existed. But what can they do when they're in danger of being erased themselves? After thinking about the dark side of defeating Lavos and saving the future, eliminating countless lives that could have been, they realize that eventually someone would come after them. And so begins their long dark journey to find out who is behind all this...and their struggle to save time once again.

This project must turn out good!  :D
But isn't her name Marle not Nadia?

BTW, is that the Chrono Trigger battle system?

However it looks really cool, keep up the good work! :)

Marle's real name is Nadia. Nuff said.  :D
And that's not the CT battle system, it's the default battle system with RPG Maker 2003. I jazzed it up as much as I could to make it look like CTs battle system though.

Yeah. "Marle" is just a name Nadia came up with so that she could run around in public.

The battle system is sufficiently "jazzed up". Nice work.  :)

Are you going to at least have it so where Glenn is human anywhere in the game.If your going by the ps version One of the endings shows Crono and Nadia getting married and also shows Glenn as a human.Unless you rather ignore that and go with the snes version where the only way Glenn cna become human is if to finish the game with Crono dead.

Nah, Magus had to be dead, not Crono. Magus put the spell on him so only he could release it.

Of course you could just decide that Magus was nice enough to remove it before he went Schala-searching.  ;)

Nope To see the ending where he turn human you have to do it while Crono is dead.You can either finish the game with Magus alive or Dead.Gust becasue when you kill Magus it says you've released the curse on Glenn don't mean anything.

No, if you finish the game with Crono dead you see a scene with Marle on Mount Doom. (you know, the place where you use the Chrono Trigger) Trust me on this one. I have finished the game like 30 times by now.

Yeh so Have I.I have the game on Snes Ps and my computer.Also like I said its not gust finishing the game with crono dead  you have sumtihng during the period he is dead then kill Lavos.Also this games ending has to better than the Sucky Chrono Cross ending.

This looks to be a very promising project, and I'll look forward to any updates and what not.
The screens really looked like they bring justice to the original, so to speak. The look of the battle system is good as well.

It must have taken you forever to do the battle system.Gust one thing is a little strange why would Crono and Nadia be living in his room isn't she rich enough to buy a house.(I hates how in Chrono Cross they made them all out to be kids when they are nearly the same age as Glenn and when you were in Lucca's house it showed pictures of everyone Except Glenn.)The game had it good points but overall was very dissapointing and gust sucked.

Sorry to bug you about this but can you let me download what you have so far, I want to make a game to but don't have chipsets,facesets, charsets,etc. for chrono trigger (where did you get yours?)   :flower:
