I made this monster quite a while back and thought it looked a little flat. Can anyone offer me some suggestions for making it look better? Thanks.
-
Make it a little transparent. Then I don't think there'd be that much need of emphasis on making it look less flat.
-
The monster section of RPGMaker has an option to make them transparent, so it is good as is.
-
Well, thanks for the input guys. It'll always look flat to me, but if guys think its good as is then so be it.
-
To make it look less flat you'd need to draw it so it was kinda facing slightly downwards and shade the other side, but personally I wouldn't bother, it looks good as it is.

Don't use absolute black for the outline.
-
MrM: If you look carefully, you'll see that it's not absolute black for the outline, but thanks anyway.
RG: You're probably right about that. I'll give changing the angle a shot one day and see what it's like.
-
Then do use absolute black
-
MrMister is right i think, i like absolute black better
you should change the angle too, that would probably look a lot better like the other person said
(sorry forgot name)

How's this look?
-
somethings wrong with it but i can't find the word for it
-
I think it's the hands.
They kinda odd.... to small.
Make him some giant claws and let him tare his opponents int small blody bits!! Mvahahahahahaha.

Well I like it better. Couldn't for the life of me duplicate the same style as I had the first one was, but oh well... Sucker looks meaner now.
