Title: I think it's finished now...
Post by: Xen on September 20, 2004, 07:23:34 PM
Here is my first attempt of shading a large object. It is the Dragon I will use in my RPG, 'Dragon Twilight'. I made it all from scratch, using the colour shades on the Dragon monster set beside it. It's not fully finished yet however, as I need to do it's tail, add more shading to it's body and complete it's head.

Tell me what you think of it!

It's better but still, in comparison, the original is by far superior. No offense.

Well, like I said before, it's my first attempt so I was expecting at least one bad comment. Thanks for saying anyway, Darkfox!

Well, I could try but I'm too caught up with my RPG. Just tell me what you need and I'll see what I can do...

Just understand that you'll probably recieve them after a long wait....

The head needs work and there should be more antialiasing(instead of hard lines you have a bit of a fade to improve the quality look of the picture) but otherwise it is very nice! Moose approves.

Good. The shading has really improved.

As something to work on, you might want to shade the top line of the wing a bit more thoughly. Adding a band or two of dark pixels would help the line quite a bit.

Wow, that's a pretty big improvement!

But you should draw that fluffy thingy at the end of its tail.

How does it look fluffy anyway?

I decided not to do the fluffy/spikey thing on the end of it's tail...
It's far beyond my capability...

I'm happy with it now. I'd better try and put it in charset form so it actually goes onto my game without any screw ups....

it's still good but from the loos of it if you wanted to do it you could just cut flip and paste then you would be done.

I decided not to add the horn.
It's only a minor detail though...
