An Idea I had, based on some myths of Norse Religeon...
The Story is that you are a group of Warriors Banished from Val'Halla, and are on the perilous path to Hel, a cold, desolate place which is like a prison.
On the way, one of your comrades, Spokelse, dirven by rage and madness, strays off the path, into the Abyss.
The Main heroes carry onwards, but when they reach Helheim, something evil is afoot...
Spokelse, has freed thoose of evil blood, enslaved thoose weakest, such as old men that have died in their beds, and wicked women.
You head towards where Odin, the Cheif God stands, he is talking to Hella, the Goddess of Death.
You aproach Odin, and strike a Deal with him.
You retrive Spokelse, and you go back to Val'Halla.
And as you progress through the story, you will find out more and more of the history of your characters, and how they ended up in Helheim.
It is in this game you can travel to the Nine Worlds.
Helheim, the Land of the Dead.
Sweartaelfham, where the Dark-Elves and Dwarfs reside. (Mork-Alfs in Norse)
Eotenham, the land of Giants, Trolls, Rimthurses and Jotuns, this is where Jötunar resides.
Nifleheim, the Land of Ice and Mist, there are many rivers there. They are Svól, [cool] Gunnthrá, [battle defiant] Fjörm, Fimhulthul, [loud bubbling] Slío, [fearsome] Hrío, [storming] Sylg, Ylg, Vío, [broad] Leipt [fast as lightning] and Gjöll, which is next to Helheim's Gate.
Midgard, (A.K.A Earth) Middle-Earth, the land which Humans reside.
Vanaheimr, the home of the Wena (Vanir) the second family of Gods of which Freya and Fréo are members. It is thought to be west of Midgarðr and like Ágarðr is said to have many mansions.
Muspell, the Land of Fire, the home land of the Fire Giants.
Aelfham, the realm of the Light Elfs, (Lyse-Alf in Norse) and the place where the Golden Gates to Esageard Reside.
Esageard, the Land of the Aesir, (Gods) resides atop Val'Halla, and keeps it's watchfull Eyes on thoose who live below them.
THE MAIN HEROES:

SECONDARY HEROES (Ones you see, but don't control)

Vanir
VILLANS
Spokelse (Meaning Ghost)
Fenrir
Jötunar
Loki
Leviathan
Grendel
I'm not sure whether to complete this or not, if so, i'm gonna need some Character Sets Made of the characters, I'll describe the Main Villen, Spokelse, later.
Oh, and Relinquo translates as To Forsake in Latin
-
AWESOME story I bow :bend: to your great Story and Characters/places
Val Halla like the Viking God
-
Ahh, well, I think I'll leave the Idea of making it a game and write it as a story, also, Val'Halla is the After life, their version of Heaven, but for Warriors.
Thanks for the comments.
Oh, and don't mix Freya up with the one from FF9, She was infact a he, and he was one of the cheif leaders of the Valkyries.
And I'm gona change Dritz' name to Furie, which translates as Fury (Suprise Suprise)
-
okay two things why are they going to Hel, and Beowulf and grendel, are they the same ones from the folk tale of Beowulf?
I think you should explain more on the storyline, like in stead of just saying what they are doing
-
Ahh, If I told you, that would kill off the story.
Yes, Grendel and Beowulf are the same as in the stories, except Grendel has been freed from Helhuim (Sp) and your not the only heroes trying to capture Spokolese, Beowulf, Freya and other ones are trying to claim the reward for themselves, and Odin has struk the deal with them that they would become a God (Or stronger one) If they capture Spokolese, so the band of "heroes" got a rotten deal.
Spokolese is planing to overthrow Odin, with some assistance of Loki (Who plans to inturn slay Spokolese, but we'll deal with that later) and other Norse Legends, some of them, Loki's Offspring, such as Fenrir.

It's a pretty original storyline I guess. *thumbs up* :bend:

-
Need anyhelp making more characters? I can help ya if you need anything
-
I think that'l be all, unless there are more monsters, then they will be some of the only characters in the game, some I havn't mentioned.
Ex.
Baldur: God of Beuty (Sp)
(And others)
-
Ok, I'm near done the first chapter, I normaly start of slow, then when I get further, I lose the mind block, music helps often.
And Idea for a Monster here, don't have a name for it yet, here's a short sumerization of it;
A figure of a headless man riding a horse, entirely made out of autum leaves.
First Chapter Complete, Here it is.
Relinquo: Path to Hellheim
Bleak Lands
This world was frozen.
It was like a tomb that had not been touched nor seen for many, many centuries.
The air was so damp, and so cold, it felt like the dwelling place of nightmares, a desolate, murky, evil place.
It was Nifleheim, a land of cold, piercing ice, and eerie, dense mist.
And it is such a place which you must be light footed about, but careful at the same time, for Slío would grab hold of you with it’s mighty power, and would not stop, nor halt, and would drag you to the very ends of Yggdrasil, the World Tree.
Yet, in this wretched, foreboding wasteland, life was present, and it was foreign.
Their feet crinkled and crushed the brittle, delicate snow; and their faces showed all the strain of the journey they had taken so far.
They were exiles.
Banished to Hellheim by Odin, the chief Aesir, these five wanderers had walked beside Death.
But now they head towards her.
The wanderers were those of great warriors, whom fought valiantly through battlefield and raids, rain and sleet, now they were on their way to Hellheim, a place of evil and cowardice.
Their leader, Forlate, was a stern, powerful man. He had the build of a bear, and furious, bright blonde hair, which spiked up at different angles, thick with mud and sweat which made it look brown.
But he’s eyes. He’s eyes burned with more passion, more confidence, more charisma then any normal man would posses,
but he had a weakness. He was self-centred, and at first glance, seemed cold and heartless, wanting only what he desires, and not willing to help those around him.
Spokelse twiddled his thumbs, showing his agitation through his expression.
Spokelse was a very secretive man, he would not talk about any of his history, nor what he thought of others, he seemed to be a shell of a man.
“This is folly” mumbled Spokelse, with a frown upon his face.
“We shouldn’t be going this path anyway” moaned Spokelse, shuddering as the piercing cold winds blew across his face.
“We will be there soon” Replied Forlate, biting his lip.
“We shouldn’t be in this damned land at all!” remarked Spokelse.
“And what awaits us after this journey? Answer me, Hel, Hel the foul Mistress of Death, that’s whom! she awaits us atop her throne fashioned from stone and misery, where we shall be thrown into cells, forgotten and left with the swine and waste of Midgard!”
Forlate turned around, eyes fixated on Spokelse’s.
“And do you think we want that fate? Of course not, we haven’t a choice, Spokelse, so quit your whining and let us be, the path ahead of us is long, and we wish to make quick haste of it.”
Spokelse’s eyes burned with hatred, he went to open his mouth, but instead he stood there still, as if some revelation struck him.
He shrugged, and turned his back to the party, mumbling something on the way, and faded into the bleak, desolate lands.
