What browser, other programs running at the time, if virus protection was on during the event?

This has happened to me before too. I did alot of stuff, half of it I don;'t think was even necessary to do. First I ran spybot from

www.download.com
Then I got a free fire wall from

www.majorgeeks.com

I ran a  registry repair thingy.
(I have no link for ya it's hard to find a free one...)

Then I killed all those damn search bars on my internet explorer
(using the uninstalling wizard)

Finally I used mozilla instead of internet explorer
www.mozilla.com
www.firefox.com

I doubt you have to do all of that but it's a good idea to.
YOU ALL SHOULD!!!....that hasn't

You can do it all for free too.

Just do what smokey_locs2002 said, and maybe run a anti-spyware program such as Ad-Aware. Though I have been told that it contains spy-ware when you download it. Irony at its pure best. :/

I'm sure there's other free anti-spyware programs, you'll just need to look around for them.

The quickest way to deal with this problem is to pretty much ignore it and get Mozilla FireFox. It's faster, better and much more reliable than Internet Explorer. I think its http://www.mozilla.org not mozilla.com.  ;)

heh heh. Well technically it's not spyware (But is does the same thing as spyware does) "They" call Advertising....something. Some programs need this so called not spyware to run like DAP needs it and all those other download boosters need them too.

See people? None of your crap-*** excuse for a helpful statement work, meanwhile mine was temporary gold! real temporary gold, not fools gold. I figure I would use the term fools gold before someone a la Red or El Prez says it and then everyone else is like "ooo, he's so smart and charming" when we know they're not.

It's more like Cubic Zirconia anyway.  :D
And we all know that both Red and myself are smart and charming.

Lol to Grandy, don't you just hate it when its so obvious that someone like Razor has to point it out to you?  ;)
