You have to put it in that box where you can put your own custom member title. Other than that there's no other way.

Of course there will. Otherwise pics in sigs would be hurting charas too.

Did you remove the spaces with < img src= "URL" > ?

That's just a problem. Charas automatically cuts it off for some reason. It will still be there, just cut off. Howver, if you change it again, THEN it will dissappear.
