Title: Problems with Skills
Post by: just1question on February 09, 2005, 04:58:02 AM
Hello again.  I've been gone for a while because I decided to scrap my old idea and come up with a new one with some better planning beforehand.
Anyways, I've encountered a little bit of a problem.  I made some spells with my own animation files and I applied them to some homemade skills.  However, when I go to the "skills" tab, there is no animation in the animation box when I select ANY of the animations, including the RTP animations (see screenshot).  This is the case with all the skills, RTP or non-RTP.
The biggest problem is that when I go into a test battle, all the homemade skills are grayed out, but when I stuck an RTP one in there for further testing (the Venom spell), the RTP one wasn't grayed out, but the ones I made still were.
I have enough MP and the character's archetypes under Battle Layout are good.  They're under the right catergories and everything too.  I tried shifting them to different catergories and archetypes to see if it's just the archetype or catergory that has the problem, but no such luck.  I tried uninstalling and reinstalling.  Still nothing.  I've asked this question on another RPG2K3 board and the only advice they had was to reinstall.
I'd appreciate it if you guys had any help.  I'm getting pretty annoyed with this  :yell:

EDIT: OK it's not letting me do screenshots here (load bar fills up completely but still doesn't load submit page).

Hmm, very odd. Is it the right color depth off? Thats the only thing I could think of, but then again if the color depth is wrong, then it shouldn't have been able to be imported into rm2k/3

I'll think about it some more though :)

Oh yeah forgot about the bitmap rule maybe that's why it wasn't posting the screenshot.

Sorry for the double post.  Here are two more pics that may help out.
And thanks for any input you may have.  I'm trying anything.
