Title: I fear for the humankind...
Post by: Grandy on February 19, 2005, 03:46:03 PM
 "Precioussssssss cience"

"A group of medicine students published in the famous magazine British Medical Journal a diagnosis for Sméagol, the Lord of the Rings weird character. The conclusion is that he fills seven of nine opitons that suggest he have a mental problem called 'esquizóide', including: no friendship, and attachment to fantasies (...)"

----
I saw that in a magazine called "Super Interessante", now, really, who in the world have time to write a diagnosis to a fantasy semi-monster? Forgive me if there are any english errors, there were some words I couldn't understand, so I used a translator.

Heh. They must've been bored or something. Or maybe they're just LOTR fans.

It's not that bad. I think it's funny.

HA! That's nothing! There are a group of people who get together and have meetings in pure elfin tounge.
Who knows what they talk about. How much they like speaking elfin, probably.

I find it ironic that they diagnosed a fictional character as being too attached to fantasies.

There are adult people who discuss about the sexual nature of Spongebob. So that's nothing.

Guh, homophobic parents afraid that he was trying to instill some kind of gay tendencies in children because he held his friend's hand.

You do realize that Spongebob actually is gay, not that there's a problem with it cause it makes him funnier.

Dude, either you're stupid or you just don't get up to date that often.

A sponge is asexual, meaning, it doesn't feel attracted to any gender. Therefore Spongebob doesn't feel attracted to Patrick or anybody, and therefore Spongebob is asexual.

How do sponges replicate, you say? By splitting themselves up.

By being mass-produced at factories, actually.

Anyway, to try and steer this topic back on track.
What I'm worried about is that there is actually a condition like that. Makes me fear myself.

Ummm, I'm going to ignore the spongebob gay thing because the subject is gay.

But, there's a scholarship program out there for anyone that can speak the elvish language.

Oh, and Red Giant, it is spelled   Elven !

Sorry, Tolkien really hated it when the printers would come out with Elfish or elfen.

Sure he is. They just see too much into the him and patrick thing.
Y'know, little kids hold hands when they are young. Spongebob and Patrick have the intellegence of 3 year olds. Therefor,

those religious guys are homophobes or something.

Uh, sorry, we britanians don't really pay attention to nationality words.

Speaking of Britainia, this actually isn't much of an amazing occurence to me. There are alot of Die-Hard tolkien fans on this island, many who'd do like that sort of thing, it's a practical reader-grab.
