Hi everyone i'm starting a new game some characters have been made. the game will be made this saturday feb.26,2005. have questions please ask.  :hi: if you want to know whos helping that uses this web site it is baconman & piedude (don't be mean about a subject)

i'll tell you about the game a little it is on a planet called destiny. its about some kids and a villin over 1500 years old.the attachment is what my character looks like. :frag:   :cow:

the game is called mythic knights it may sound silly but before i knew this site i thought of it. there are a group a minions called phantom guards to the mythic lord the villin that destroied an anceint tribe 1500 now a few of the tribe members in the date that the story takes place exsiste and they don't even know it. more info will be posted in the meantime think of ideas.

I'll tell you the characters names but my friends made them up.

Lan
he lives on a island called mythic isle(this is my charater)

yang
he's a traveler (my friend made him up so don't blame me)

wind
he's a traveler(my brother made him up so don't blame me)

TY
lan's step brother his parents died and lan's family took him in as a son(my cousin made him up made him up so don't blame me)

kiye
(he was made by baconman so don't blame me) but he is sort of netral

Diku
he works for the mythic lord and he is a general(piedude made him up so don't blame me)

thanks! here is a llittle info. these kids not only set out on a journey but find spirits they fuse with orbs that contain these spirits to get better wepons and armour but i am having trouble making the amour.

here is a contest to make one or more spirit armour of these creatures.Phoenix, dragon, griffin,  pegausus, salamander, cerberus, feather dragon, kraken, serpent, chimera, sagittarius, centaur, (note: there is one girly girl spirit so not just boys can get spirits) & the unicorn.

Well, Armour and Amour are two different things, for starters. Amour is a love affair. Armour (Armor) is the equipment that is worn on your body. I'm pretty sure the characters don't want to be wearing love affairs.  :)

Time to cut to the chase. Your story seems very basic. What I mean by basic is that the story is too... cliche, for lack of a better term. Ancient evil, knights, etc. Kinda basic IMO. What you could do is put a twist to this. I'm not saying that you should change it right away, I'm just making a suggestion.

well i did not get a chance to make any of it yet because my computer would be slow if i downloaded it but i will post a demo when i get some of it done.

well i don't really know how to spell armor until now. but what do u mean by cliche and putting a twist in it. this story takes place in the mondern day. but the twist is that guns are banned for the whole planet. because one person killed 2 villigages.

If you want help I'll need some basic info, I can't be of much help unless I know what to do,

I can make char and battle char, barely
I can make face sets too, but they all stink :P
but  I have a really good imagination if it is ideas you are looking mainly for XD

PS. -my brother just singed up too, sadly we share the same computer, but he is fairly good in chars though ^^

It's not a living dragon... It's a ZOMBIE dragon :P:P
can be usefull if you plan to make a graveyard or something...

I don't mind, I'm a novice at making charas but I CAN make  Edits that looks pretty good. And I'm getting better at the Monster fixing (Make the monsters work) well that's about what I can do...

PS. That Dinosaur dusn't work very well if I remember right

here is the story it is about some group of friends who meet on a island west of the destiny tree ( this holds the sacred spirits and choses who gets them) so one day Lan ( my character ) Wind and Yang. so they talk for a while. lan invites them to stay.  so any way Lan is at a age were he is old enough to go out on a journey.( note: this is on a different planet called destiny). so they travel and have lots of fun doing it but on the Evil side is the Mythic Lord who wants to rule the world ( like all bad guys) and his minions the Phantom Guards. so the set out to defeat the Mythic Lord. on there way they meet new friends on the way.

SonicChaos7 shut up... No story is overused and desteny is not the last name to give a planet! Look at "Dragonball Z" Isn't it pretty dumb to have the name Vegeta and a planet named Vegeta? And earth? That is what we often plant things in. What you're doing now is just pointless. If lan-the phoenix holder wants something his way then it happens his way since it was HE who created it!

A planetcan carry many name from Planet a - z or Venus, Mars, Earth... It's so complicated but why don't you try with either think deeply from your heart or I'll try and think the c**p outta me....
I dunno... "Triborn" or "Kradonia" or something... You can also make up a wierd name on a madeup language like "Fellarodia"

Get it? Cuz I barely understand what I'm saying :D

Try to make it a little more original, like the evil not trying to take over the world, but let him take over France. I never encountered a game or movie where they wanted to take over France.

As you know, Lan, I was the one who got you interested into 2k3.....I can help you make sprites, backgrounds, title screens, game overs, etc. You know that you can call me at anytime to request something. Terra, It sounds like a large planet!
Kiusis, If it is on an ancient language...
Yanabis, I was sorta thinking of KOTOR at that moment

that would be because they are'n't the right size, u can also put them on a template to work...and when you want to save them:

1.make it
2.make it save as bmp.
3 make sure the name of the file also has bmp. behind it like this:

snakemonster.bmp

save file as: bmp...dib ( wahtever more has to do woth bmp )

then you can open them in paint

the Mythic Lord was trained by the master & Lan's great great great grandfather was trained also. but the master comes back from the grave and Lan and his family has to fight him. (note he has two sister, a brother, mother, and father.)

Why don't you try making one? I needed some Lufia-styled Character sets and nobody actually ever made one so I tryed and they came out good. You only need Knights? Why not search for an already-made one and just edit it?

If you still need a world name why don't you combine Gaea and Terra into something like Gerra or Terea? Gaea and Terra are greek and roman for earth in mythology, right? Or if you wanted to mix in some norse myth in how about Muspell(first realm of creation;realm of fire),  Niflheim(Land of Dead), Midgard(Realm of man), or Gunningagap(void between worlds)?

glad to hear that u aren't quitting. Why won't you name the planet with some foreign language. (means:no english) for example: Aurinko (It's finnish and means sun :P) or Gurka ( It's swedish and means um, well...Cucumber :D (I'm not too good in speaking swedish)). Or something like that.

Or how about caiman, which is Spanish for alligator? :)

Other possibilities could include:

Mitico - Spanish for Mythic.
Spada - Italian for Sword.
Salsicha - Portuguese for Sausage (Maybe not this one).

Sorry to say, but this ain't that original.  I felt like I was reading another Final Fantasy 5. Yet another ancient evil. Now since I care too much to let you make a game no one will miss, I will ask you some constructive questions in order to get the most out of this game and make it better hopefully.

First of all, does Mythic Lord have a name?  No one names their son Mythic Lord.  And certainly no one will take anyone named Mythic Lord seriously.  I suggest you give him a name.  If you have trouble doing that, I will help you. If you want him to be nameless, I'll be fine with that too.  But keep in mind that, realistically, Mythic Lord is not a name, it's a rank.  Just some advice to help further your game.

Now, most of your characters are teenagers or around that age.  With such little fighting experience, it makes little sense for them to be able to go toe to toe with an evil that has so much fighting experience that he kills off a whole tribe.  Try to give more explanation to as how people with so little years in their life would be able to beat Mythic Lord and someone that has been fighting for fifty years can't?

first of all i don't the names for Lan and my friends made some of them up and they will be mad if it was changed so i don't like u and the Mythic Lord does have a name but no one knows u jerk & these kids r welled trained since they were like 5 .

Y'know! I don't want to start a fight but a character must not always have a name... Like on "Sword of Mana", Dark Lord. It's a title. Ever played fable? People call you by your title (Like Avatar, Dabre or Hood) And I think that is pretty good actually XD So that question wasn't really needed...

Sorry for answering but it's quite obvius that it's like this= It very original to name a character with a cool name. How would the world look like if everyone had a cool name? It wouldn't be cool anymore! Lan is a very good name and makes since because Lan might be a normal guy at the beggining. And it's VERY rare to name your son Lance or Lancaius(Unless you're a game freak)

If you would answer the questions directly, it would help you.  Trust me, I've been doing this long enough to know that the way to any solid RPG is to answer the questions that people give you.  If you can't tell the answers to me, you don't have to, but it's better for your sake if you do since it'll make the scope of your RPG bigger and of course, more enjoyable.

interesting, a planet with no name... this is new... ummm... try to add a little comic in it for ex. that the hero screwes up on a mission:

A hero is ordered to plant a bomb in the enemys camp... after doing this he sneakes out of the camp. After he has walked  many miles he suddenly remembers that he forgot to arm the bomb rendering it useless.

Ok cool. He is 18, His name is Shalek. When he was 4, his parents were taken away by a mysterious group who's name remains unknown. When he was 7, he was picked up off the streets and was taken to an abandon building. There he was taught the way of the sword. Then when he was 15 he took off and still to this day, he travels with his only friend......his sword. And thats it! Also he's evil but later in the game he becomes friends with the main charactor.

Bloopers=bad idea. No. Why the hell do you think they put them at the END of movies? Because that's when people walk out of the theatre. Also, if it turns out really good, which I doubt, do you really think the player will want to see the great hero who they just came to love and respect making mistakes? I think not. But that's just my opinon.
