Umm...in RM2K or RM2K3, how do you make it, so when you test it, it isnt so stretched......like, i thought if i changed the view, to the second one, instead of the last, and tested it, i thought it would work like that but it didnt...i need it so the view is 1/2 not 1/1..please help...is it just my resolution? i have it 800x600...
-
just play with the resolution until you get something you like
-
Are you talking about when you test play it? If so, then you're stuck buddy. It will only play on that size. Also, this is in the wrong forum.
-
I just did, but, it is still strecthed...is there any other way? oh...didnt know it was the wrong forum, but...why am I stuck?...well, all i can do is test play it, it's no wheres near finished...all of the games i checked out in the Games forum are fine, they are not stretched, so there must be a way....i just cant find it.
-
Post a screenshot of what your talking about. That would make this situation simpler.
-
I think I know what you mean by "your stuck"....i just got a screenshot of when i was testing, the pasted it in MSPaint, and it wasnt stretched, but here is one screen anyway of what im talking about...see how its fine size there, but when I test it...my character is stretched, and everything....but it automatically starts you off with 1/1 which is stretched, then i changed it to 1/2 so its fine...but like i said, when i test it, it is stretched...

That's because that's the editor. The editor can change from 1/1 to 1/2 to 1/4 to 1/8. When you test play your game, you screen resolution changes to 320x240. That's the size it runs at. And when you run the game it runs on the 1/1 scale. That's what I meant.

Ok...now I get it..thank you. i understand...but one more question...when I put my game in a compressed zip or w/e if I make a demo (which wont be for a while since i just re-installed rm2k3) the size will stay at 1/1 scale still wont it? _sweat_

Yes.
-
thank you
-
No problem. That's why I'm here.
-
Or you could just click this button for a smaller testplay screen.
-
Not like it's going to make much difference, if any. And besides, it runs slower in window mode. At least it does on my computer.
-
Well, yeah, but if you make a mistae with a never ending auto start event... Heheh...
-
You can just psuh F4 and it'll switch modes.
