Title: School RPG
Post by: Crazyflip423 on March 29, 2005, 09:48:46 PM: Hi everyone, this is my first RPG using the 2000 maker so cut me some slack. Ok, here's the story. 15 year old Alex has just moved to a new town and is in a new High school. As he tries to adjust to this new school and new people he gets himself into pretty sticky situations.
At the end of the first day you will have played through 2 classes, watched 4 cutscenes, and a minigame (which took me about 2 weeks to put together, not too mini) and you have also gotten some hints as to the final boss. I still need a title screen, some school-based monsters (ex. books/homework) and a better name. I'll send anyone a demo if they want it.

I'll have to decide which one to use though... o well, neway thanx

Neway, did anyone find the mini-game? If you still have the game, its in the characters room after you talk to the left side of the flowers.

Post by: Crazyflip423 on April 05, 2005, 12:24:45 AM: Ok, so you guys want more storyline, here it goes. Alex meets Mr. comic releif, John, in his social studies class on his first day of school. John is a good student who can kind of get confused with some work sometimes. John uses his skills to cast powerful magic onto unsuspecting schoolwork. Alex continues his first day of school with a trip to the library where he signs on the computer and talks to :heart: Sara :heart: , Alex's love intrest from the girls room. He agrees to meet Sara outside on the docks, after talking for a while they notice a fight and alex and john rush to dispurse of it. afterwards, he gets a kiss from his lover and goes home and has a good nights rest.
Theres the monday in a nutshell for you. I have decided to make the game go a little differently than other RPG's. Instead of taking place over a long period of time, this adventure only lasts a week. Now, if monday takes roughly 25 min. to finish + minigames and sidequests (coming soon) your looking at roughly 45 min per day. I have also decided to make the game end on Saturday where you fight the final boss in an intence battle you will have to train vigirusly to be ready for.
I will keep you guys updated with anything else I come up with. Currently working on Tuesday, open to sugestions.

You can open 2000 games in 2003, just not the other way around :|

I'm probably going to make them better, just not yet... btw, its not rude to tell someone what needs fixing, it is rude however to go around saying that a game just sucks just because.

And the hallways could use walls on both sides (along with all the rest of the rooms :| ) Also, the maps -are- kinda empty. Try putting more things in, or making the map size smaller.

But otherwise, good concept! I like it! :D It's very original.

As for the facesets, i overheard something about a faceset generator that is in another language or something. I have seen some faces from the program it they look really good. If anyone has that program can you please send it to me or help me make the faces. Thanx

In school tuesday you go through english class, a hallway full of enemies, a cafeteria full of enemies, and a boss in the kitchen. When you come out of the cafeteria I was just going to do the dream sequence again but then tuesday would be much shorter than monday. I NEED YOUR HELP IN DECIDING WHAT TO DO NEXT!! I have the begging done but it can rly go anywhere from where it is. The part i have is that the PA system comes on and says there is an after school activity going on in the feild. I DONT KNOW WHAT THAT ACTIVITY IS GOING TO BE!!! I was thinking a fair (new arcade-like minigame) or maybe a soccer game (event with sara) please suggest one of these or if you have a better idea please post that. I NEED to get past this part to finnish the rest of my game. thank you.

The storyline has been set up so that Alex (the main character) doesn't really get involved with the final boss untill the boss gets involved with him. Alex has just saved sara from the evils of the cafeteria and still doesnt know just who exactly is doing all this. Well, anyway, the new demo will be here soon, hope you all look forward to it!
