Post by: Zeigue on March 31, 2005, 09:23:24 PM
this is getting me really mad, is there any way, that i can get a sand tile, that doesnt look like a straight line so it looks like it goes from grass to sand, (see my pictures),  want it to look like it goes from grass, then starts to go into sand...does anybody know how i can edit the other sand tile, or get tiles like this?

i want it too look like the second one.... the first one is how it looks now. I edited the second one in paint....i need it for the sides to...

thats what i need, i want it so it lookd like the sand doesnt just come out of nowhere, i want it so it looks like the grass is there, but it starts going to sand....basically, i want it not to be a straight line, and make it look realistic...? is that more clear....Darkfox knows what Im talking about....

Take the stuff you edited in paint and make them into a charset. Set the chars as below hero...

That's what I would do, anyway

I tried to use the ones in the left hand corner, it doesn't work...so my best bet is to just do what SleepAid said and make a charset out of what I did in paint.....

Why make it a char? Just replace useless tiles with the ones you were gonna use as chars. Copy paste. Duh.

Ok, I see what your problem is. When you use the upper left one that everyone is talking about, it leaves a grassy layer on the bottom edge, correct? Well, to fix this, you use the upper left one, like everyone is saying to get the grass to sand effect. THEN, on the area that it has the extra grasssy edge, use the one that has JUST sand, however, while placing the sand on that edge, hold down shift while doing it. Now, when you're done placing the sand to rid yourself of the extra grassy layer, let go of your mouse first, not shift. Got it? Hopefully this will solve your problem.
