1st one looks good but the 2nd, meh. I can't pinpoint but it looks bad. Maybe better fonts? Check out fontfreak.com if you need some. And they're free, don't worry.

I still think you need a better font than Times. If you don't wanna download try a font that comes with word, like big caslon or something.

I hated the first title, all it was was a pic of alexander inverted. The second is pretty good though,

I think the gameover would look better if you either changed the font or outlined that text with black. At the moment it's a little tought to read.

They're sweet titles and g-o's, but barnsalot is right, do some shading.

First off, put some black text of whatever you wanna type, then put it black and where you want the shading to be. Then write red of the same text with the same font, and place it so that it looks like it has a shadow. I use that effect often, and it's sweet! Now I'm not saying it sucks, but I'm saying the text is a bit hard to read, like barns.

FYI you are right but the game screen and the pic are differant sizes...*Remeber the game screen is the entire screen on your computer not a 320x240 square...* _sweat_

Yeah, we know that... it's just for RPG Maker, you need that exact amount to fill the screen...
