Title: Situation Midi request thread
Post by: carmen on October 13, 2005, 06:16:50 AM
Request all situation midis here. A situation midi is one that decribes a death, a finding, a happy moment, a march for an army etc. This is a pretty loose section, so if you can't find where midi should go, you should probably request here. Remember to read all rules before posting. ONLY ORIGINAL REQUESTS.

Sorry We don't do sound effects, just music. Try a wav from somewhere. Sorry I forgot to add that rule. Added.

Ah, the first actual request after the re-make...

Well, I myself have tried to make this, but, it just doesn't fit the scene.

In my game, the world is split into two parts, basically a Heaven and a Hell, but more than that... Anyway, in the very begining,  the 'Hell' side is building a huge gate. It is one of the more dramatic parts of the game, it's raining, people are dying from working, and what not.

Anyway, I want a song to go with this.

Have it dark, slow, and depressing, and I'll be content.

--Thank you.

Hello!
I've been seriously working on my game for months now, and so it's come to a point where I have most of the scenes laid out (on paper) and now need music for them.
One theme that continually comes up in the story is the idea of the powerlessness of man. How he always tries to come up with ways to deal with nature and yet somehow it will always overcome him.

It's stated pretty clearly in one scene when a character named Glenn says:

Quote

Glenn:
Men try to control so many things, because they are scared. They decide that by sacrificing a maid, they can appease a fire god; by offering a ram, they can achieve a bountiful harvest. They believe these things because they are afraid of being powerless to nature. They do all they can, only to stare in wonder as they realize that no matter what, the mountain will always spill heat, and their crops will always die.

So in this scene, and also every time man is overcome by the power of nature/fate, I need a sort of reflective mystical song to play. Somewhat simple. An example of this type of song can be found in IY. I've attatched this song to add a little bit of help in deciding the mood.

Help is really appreciated. Thank you so much in advance.

EDIT: It wouldn't let me attatch. So here's a site it can be found at: http://at.indymedia.org/usermedia/audio/8/Kagome_to_Inuyasha.mp3

If you will,

I need a midi to depict a hectic situation where man meets chaos & disaster.  Like a shocking, Gods of the cosmos type of thing. I can hear it my head... but I can't get it out.

It's for my game (which got BALEETED) that I'm still working on Unleash.

Thank you

Okay, I need a before fight MIDI and another one.
I need one that has the emotion of two guys fighting cuase they are haveto settle a score, they have grown attached to each other but on order to settle this they have to step it aside.
Another is when a guy is fightning someone(in a cutscene not battle) but, that person is dogding all his attacks. The person trys very hard but then the pther person defeats him.

For the first one I want a brave, happy, and tense, for the second tense, anger, brave, upbeat and kind of dark. Take your time. thank you.

Thank you very much. I hope you don't mind but can I ask for a little adjustment?

While the piece sounds great it's meant to be more reflective...like the song I attatched. It's not as striking. I really like the version you posted though, but for other reasons. Could you perhaps make an adjustment to make one more reflective?
Also, after the 45 second mark, the bass seems to be off-tempo.

I'm really sorry for saying that if it offends you, but I really do appreciate what you did. It's just I need something a little different.

If you're unsure of a melody, I have the sheet music for a song that would work really well (there's no midi for it anywhere yet, since it's a choral piece).

Okay, it may sound a bit wierd, but for anyone thats seen the movie "Pirates of the Carribean"  there is a song that plays quite often in sword fights and battles.  I'd like it if some one could make that into a midi.  Thats as much as I can describe it.  lol  Thanks to whoever does this.  :)

I have a request, it's simple, and yeah, I made it up. It's Shadow Seeker's opening theme, it's a situation song because it's not his actual theme but kinda a confrontation type. Yeah it's rather without emotion, but thats the point in this case, this is also the song that plays before the battle starts. So a double situation, lol.

Stated in the rules: ONLY ORIGINAL REQUESTS

Hi! I was thinking for a song a very dark, chilling theme. The one that sends a chill down your spine when you hear it. Low and tormented choir voices. In one word to sum it up: haunting.

Can someone add a little to this Midi? I need a beat to it...Its like a lullaby so don't make it too...uppity >_> I need some other instruments added but It needs to follow the tune...sort of...you can use different notes instead of following the main tune. I need it to sound more like a lullaby.  Thanks ^_^

PS: Been away a while eh? Well I am back :p

If I may request please, I would like to request a midi for a before war preperation. Like everyone is planning how to win the huge battle. Nothing like all happy, but more like a messanger just informed them the army is invading, and will be there in like 2 days, and everyone is panicing. But not too upbeat either if possible. I hope I explained that right, I tried my best.

Credits will be added to the one who makes it. I thanx the one who helps me.

Thank you.

Please email me the finished midi if you could so kindly. I like to keep my midis secret till I release the game. Makes it more suprising that only the makers and I have the copies.

Title: The Gemini Strain
Post by: Ben on December 12, 2005, 01:52:53 AM
I have a request for two, short, looped, pieces....

One to describe an scene.....An intro cutscene....where that part discovers an ancient relic that has been dormant for thousands of years......The relic has fables surrounding it of Impending doom..but everyone always thought they were kid's stories...and when they find it, there is an eerie glow coming from a hole within it, that was never before seens....This happens right after the group discovers a town that has been completely laid to waste unbeknownst to the rest of the world.

The other, Is for a Cutscene in wich a vital character has a Long, dramatic Monologue, Where the player can see an assasin slowly creeping up behind her, whilst she rambles on about the love of her friends, her lover, her country and hopes for peace....A very sad scene. The kill happens right after the end of the scene, so I would not need a climax to the song....but rather a slow build up, and slow wind down....Must be loop-able, or very long, since the monologue is substancial.

If anyone has anything handy, let me know....I will gladly lend my services for graphics, if return favors are rerquired

Alright, I hate making requests like this, because everytime I do, right after the request is finished I find something similar to what I've requested, but I haven't found anything like what I'm looking for for 2 weeks, so I'm gonna ask here. I want something like DarkFlood2's request. It's not a final fight, but a fight with the main villain in the game. I enjoy fast and upbeat stuff, so make sure to have it be that. This will represent the fight between two friends turned enemies for different causes. Also, it's ABS if that helps any.

Also, if you could have the begining be something like the first ten seconds of the midi below, that would be appericated.

One from a Gondola MiniGame....Where the gondola is getting attacked by flying beasts....and your character is up on top, trying to shoot em out of the sky.....High tension....Fall to your doom excitement.

I'm not sure if this forum is still active, or if there's people still composing MIDIs, since I haven't seen any recent ones. Nonetheless, I'll give it a shot.

I need a sort of 'memory' midi. Basically, the main character is sort of expressing his views of the world, and they're pretty pessimistic. Yet yearning for better days. I'd like it simple, maybe only one or two instruments.

Thanks in advance.

hi  :bend:  i need a midi for a momment in my game,
first off here is the situation, my mageknight's has a girl that cares for deeply, and he has been biten by a leviathan, nearly crushed by a stone chimera, taken a sword in the back and nearly bleed to death, nearly crushed by a red wood, and through it all they became closer, after this he is asleep for 3 days in which she is kidnaped by a ninja serveing an evil king which is holding a colloseum tournament... and his girlfriend is the prize, (an elven slave girl if anyone else were to win) and a giant of a man has nearly killed both of the friends that came with him. and during this battle his anger expoldes to a point, a massive eruption of anger, magic, and strength, he needs to take down the strong man of the tournament and then will turn around to kill the king. (afterwhich a tank will come after him but thats later.)
 :bend:  please and thank you.

Hello. I would like to request an "ancient " sounding theme...
But first let me describe what I mean.
If you are an avid Sonic the Hedgehog fan, more than likely, you know what Altar Emerald is...
If not, its where the Master Emerald and the Chaos Emeralds are kept. it is a sacred place.

Could you please come up with a custom theme for such a  place?

If you could, Thanks!

Title: My Two MIDI Requests for the Week
Post by: Kilyle on June 15, 2006, 11:40:29 PM
One:

I really, really like the upbeat Black Chocobo song from FFIV.  I adore it.  I would love to have a chirpy, high-energy, friendly, even semi-manic song like that.

Two:

Give me a theme for a close-knit family of elves, do-it-yourself types, empowered to act instead of passively accept.  Parents and children.  I want it to be a very pleasant, optimistic theme, a kind of upbeat "all's right with the world" or, perhaps, "We can make it through this."  Please try to avoid a jarring contrast between the loud and soft sounds in the song--I want the kind you could have as background while writing, without having too much attention called to the song itself.  (I hope this description makes sense!)

Thank you very much!

Hi, I know you're not supposed to do unoriginal requests, but can I make one anyways just in case?

The reason is that I have a song which shows up in my game at different times, and it's a theme for something. Unfortunately, though, I can only find very happy versions of it (it's a pretty peppy song). I was wondering if someone could transpose the song into a minor key, and also change the melody line to a music box as well.

I'd do it myself but I just don't have the software. Nor can I hook up my piano to my computer.

If you can help me that would be great and I'll be sure to credit you for it! ^^

I have a small cut scene at the beginning of my game.  He is the text.  You'll get the drift.

Roy: I about to start packing.
Charity: ...
Roy: I have an idea.  Why don't you come and visit my parents with me?  I could introduce you.
Charity: Really?!
Roy: Yeah sure.  Come on, lets get packed.

After it goes into the opening credits with a song i already have.  Its a Dance remix.  lol.  Basically, i need something that is soft, yet happish.  Not quite hapy, but not quite sad either.  Its H'ad.

Happy+Sad=H'ad.  You don't get it do you.   _sweat_

Could anyone make a main theme music for me? I have to admit I'm not that much of a musician   :x.

So the type of song I need should be catchy and upbeat(Like Chrono Trigger, FF5, FF9 etc). And it would be a big bonus if it is also made in a way so that there can be a few remixes of it that makes it sound happy, sad, tense and/or decisive.

So if you could come up with any I'd really appreciate it.
