Title: Rules, Faqs, and more..
Post by: Midnight9795 on April 17, 2006, 10:35:34 PM
MrMister: I am content with nearly everything laid out by Midnight, she did a good job.

Alrightie, here is a link to the forum's rules. It's pretty basic, and easy to understand. This pretty much states the rules for all boards.

General Forum Rules (http://charas-project.net/forum/showthread.php?threadid=9054&forumid=43&catid=2)

And here's some of my rules.

1. Don't act retarded.
2. [STRIKE]NO backseat modding. LAY OFF IT, in all seriousiness it's really annoying. Mods are suppose to mod you all, not the other way around :p[/STRIKE] If you have something useful to say, feel free to point out rule-breakers.
3. No multiple birthday topics, I know it's fun and exciting but no need for more then one.
4. Please try not to make seperate topics about your leaving, and then coming back the next day. Try to keep it all in one topic, like 'Hey, I'm leaving. Wont be back til friday!' *same topic* 'Hey, I'm back! Came a day earlier then expected.'
Try to refrain from making topics like 'I'm leaving for 2 days to see my aunt'. Sure we'll miss you, but.. well, not really.

Here is a new rule from Gemini....October 2010
Dont reply to bot threads. A warning will follow. Potentially a 2 day ban, if you are absolutely dense and keep breaking this rule.
Kindly send a link of the thread in question to an admin, global moderator, or post it in the appropriate thread in the SITE NEWS board

And just for the heck of it..

No pornographic content.
No offensive content.
No flaming.
No flooding.
No spamming.
No spamming.
No spamming.
No spamming.
No spamming.
No double posting. And Triple posting. And Quadriple posting. and Quintiple posting. And...
No spamming.
No BMP's. FFL2and3Rocks will hunt you down for the rest of your life if you do it. Your short life, that is.
No spamming.
No warez (links to illegal content). That also means NO FRICKIN' RPG MAKER DOWNLOAD LINKS!!!
If you're uncertain where certain topics belong, please, post it in the All Of All! board. Except for welcome messages. They belong in the TESTING & WELCOME BOARD.
I (Gary) freak out when I see the N-word. SO DON'T USE THE FRICKIN' N-WORD!!!
Please, if you are going to post a topic, give it a title that makes sense, so no "uhm" or "I NEED FRICKIN' HELP!!!" or anything. It annoys me, and many other people.
Did I mentioned no spamming?

For the record, the n-word he speaks of is n00b and I second that. Well, that's all for the rules.

Here's alittle help for beginners who don't know how to use some of the codings and what not.

Making a new thread - In a forum, on the top as well as the bottom of the page is an icon with the words ''New Topic'' Click this and a new page will come up requesting a Subject (title), Description (sub-title), and a Message (your topic). You MUST fill in the Subject, the Description does not have to filled out unless you want to put something there, and for your message you write the interest of topic in there. After all that is done, just post topic and then you have a topic. YAY (Note: I know this may seem a bit 'off' to some, but there are people who don't know how to create topics. Everyone's a beginner at one point in their life.)

Posting a reply - Ok, you find a topic that interests you and you really wanna add to it BUT you don't know how to post within this topic, what will you do? Simple, when you're in the topic of interest simply scroll to the bottom and click 'Reply' and just type in whatever you wanted to say, then scroll a bit down and click 'Post reply' and you have added something to this thread. Yay!

Editing a post - To avoid double posting, and annoying other members..look at the little buttons under your post. There is an edit button, just click it and change or fix whatever you need.

Alright, the easy stuff is done so here comes the extra stuff. Using some of the codes..

To make things bold you use these [B ] [/B ] (but without the spaces). Place the word/sentence/whatever in between these, ][. In the end it should look something like this.

HI!

It's pretty much the same for all the codes, here look.

You love me.  [/I ]

OH NOES!!

null  (From what I know, it's prettty useless)

But alas, there is hope! You do not have to do it manually, there are buttons on the side screen for you to use when posting, Enjoy :p

I'll update this when I get a chance, or Sai'Kar can update it whenever he pleases. Also, for those of you who have questions you can post them here and hopefully it can be answered. Enjoy ^^

Also, Glow and Shadow don't work on Firefox, but they work fine in Internet Explorer.

[GLOW]Mwa[/GLOW] <- If you can see that, you're using IE.

*whistles* Three years. I mean, this thread's been stickied, so you're technically entitled to post, but you weren't constructive, and no posts for over three years is mighty odd.

Can you start checking the last post date before you post? Kicking old threads isn't a good idea.
