Title: Faceset question
Post by: Zerlina on April 06, 2007, 10:40:02 PM
I'm fine for drawing face sets, but the problem is shrinking them down. They get distorted and stuff. Is there any way besides drawing extremely small to make it work?

there are some really good programs like Corel paint shop pro X, it does all my resizings nicely. Well based on what presets the resize is set to.

Bout all I can really offer in terms of how to resize without the picture turning into a freak show.

I use paintshop....Give it a gaussian blur of 0.50 pixels and then resize...With the "smart resize tool" or the "Bicubic interpolation" if the smart size dosent work

Fireworks works well too. I'd imagine photoshop can resize nicely as well.

Then again, I make 96x96 faces, for XP....

If you have so much trouble with Facesets, then Why not use a picture file for faces, And call it with a common event when youi need to show faces? It looks different, and professional and nice when you Have it All layed out right...

Faces hovering above and off centered to Messages is sweet. And then you dont need to comprimise your desing.

I just use photoshop. I've resized things from 700X700 to 50X50 and it still looked fine. Of course, when playing RM2003, things are like... 400% resized, so I dunno.
