Story
From the national address given by the Supreme Chancellor or the Fennian Empire, earlier this year
"I remember hearing the stories as a child, tales my father would tell of the great war between Fenne and Caradoc. At the time Caradoc was an intimidating union of nations with a military presence that rivaled that of even our own Fenne Empire. My Father told me tales of great battles at sea, and the taste of blood and salt that would permanently linger after months of naval wayfaring...only to be replaced by the tinny taste of adrenaline when the Greatships would approach the shores and the soldiers would charge.
As a youngster I had a better life then My father...because he, and his brothers fought the great wars, and although his brothers did not return, he and the other lucky ones Did. I am grateful that I can live in this world, and that the threat of war does not linger in the ears of my sons. It is because of the sacrifices of those men that My Sons can grow up strong, and without fear, and I can live to see old age peacefully"

Caradoc Empire Rising Again?
Recent intelligence has given reason to believe that the Nations Comprising the former Caradoc Empire Have had secret unions and militarization for the better part of the last five years, despite a thirty year de-militarization policy. Intelligence shows that Not only Militarization, but the employ of Various Mages, and Naval Forces is a real possibility.
When addressed by the Fenne Empire at the recent International Peace Summit, The Caradoc nation, and all other nations formerly of the Caradoc Empire of the great war, replied that there was no military presence at this time, but the possibility has been discussed in private meeting. The Offending nations have all withdrawn from future summit talks, leaving Caradoc in charge of all international Matters. Political, Military, and Magus experts all agree the threat of another great war is inevitable and that a pr- emptive, unilateral strike is the best defense at this point in time.
TODAY
The Fenne Empire has taken it upon itself to send over a strong Naval Force to Confront the Possible Caradoc Union. The possibility of meeting a battle ready garrison is expected. The first Wave of Infantry and Low Level Mages is expected to have reached shore already, although no definitive word as to how they fare is present. It is expected that they met with force and are in need of backup forces.
You are part of a team of special forces, On a lone warship, traveling a day behind the second Wave of Infantry and Mages. Although your unit is heavily trained, the most elite of soldiers, Mages and such have been left in Fenne for the sake of tactical planning and the possibility of a homeland invasion.
If the Second Wave of Ships is seen to have encountered hostility, your orders are to flank to the Port of Malidus, a sub capital Of Caradoc, to subvert the Hostility and gain a foothold into a Caradoc City, and hopeful secure the situation until further forces arrive,
3 weeks at sea have left you all anxious, and forlorn.
among your ranks are close range combat experts, ranged combat experts, offensive mages, and a handful of support and medic magus.
It is expected that another 6 days travel will be needed to reach scouting distance of the main capital of Carodoc, Polipous Major.
The Seas have been eerily quiet, and all of the crew seems to be on edge, as a dense fog has encompassed much and obliterated visual contact with the Infantry ships. All that can be done now is to uphold the current course tentatively
The setting is sort of an early Industrial age/fantasy. There is focus on keeping things realistic, in terms of character interactions, developments and such.
We have explosions, because they're radical. We all start on a boat here, so If you need to tell backstory, try and do it with your character Bio, or through interaction with another player.
If things seem too restrictive, I gotta apologize. Were trying to keep things even.

Melee Soldier Class
Carries Melee weapons. Players choice of a Short Sword, Long Sword,or Hatchets.
Carries One Buckler or small shield
Has One Pouch to hold flares
Can Carry Up to 2 additional Non Weapon Items of players Choice
Ranged Soldier Class
Carries Either A Musket/Bag of pellets and powder, A Crossbow / bolts, or a Composite Longbow / Arrows / Quiver.
Carries Tools Needed to create additional Ammo.
A Pouch of flares
Up to 2 additional Items, One of which can be a small melee weapon
Support Mage
These Are the Medics and Enchanters. They do not cast offensive Spells, But Create cover for units, provide the duties of a medic, can set Traps of a magical nature,
And must use items for magic rather then Inherent abilities. Can Carry One small Melee Weapon, and Carries the items necessary for Moderate Medical attention, and the items to set traps. Also Carries a kit to refine further items if need be
Scout
Scouts travel Light. They are swift, and carry little. They Carry One Small Melee Weapon of the Players Choice, as well as binoculars, A Note book, and can set traps prepared for them By mages.
EDIT: Basically as long as its an ACTUAL PRACTICAL Weapon, then its a go. The rest of us can veto if your wepon is stupid
