Title: Morning/afternoon/evenin' all
Post by: Moosetroop11 on October 11, 2011, 10:27:59 AM
In the interest of getting some of Georgia's lovingly crafted threads off the main page, I was wondering if enough people here would be up for a new rp to make it worth making.

In a strange twist of fate, I'm on here every doy now (and really, never should have left...  But there ya go) so I'd certainly be able to keep it going as long as people were willing, but I'm not going to bother making one if there's no interest.

If there is, what sort of setting?  I miss rps.

Hm. I'd probably join. I don't have much of a life these days either. :P

Nothing's going on these days. I don't have any ideas for setting, but if I like whatever comes up, I'm in.

Kinda wacky idea, but what about:

Hackett slammed down his mug, ignoring the fact that it immediately shattered into tiny pieces.  A fire now blazed in his eyes that had not been there for some time, and as he spoke, there was conviction in his words, and more than a little hint of destiny.

"That's it! Life sucks! I'm going on an adventure! Who's with me?!"

Silence filled the room like a viscous liquid, seeming to almost consciously stifle his sudden urge for glory.  Hackett hung his head forlornly.

"Ah. Yes. I live alone."

He sat down again, and sank into his couch, only now noticing the small fragments of porcelain scattered across it and the coffee table.

"What's the point. What would happen if I marched out there anyway?  Rows of busy streets and uninteresting people.  I'm better off here talking to myself."

Hackett reached over and gripped the television remote, dragging it lazily towards him and squeezing one of the buttons.  The screen flashed into life.

"Friends is coming to comedy central!"

Hackett switched the box off again and silence returned to the living room.

"Oh god.  I've gotta get outta here."

Shouldering his coat and donning what he affectionately referred to as his 'adventuring cap', he stepped into the sunshine outside and the air smelt once more like dragons, mountains and winding pathways.

He slammed the door behind him, thought for a second, then began to walk left.  A weight started to lift off of his shoulders.

Today was going to be a good day.
