Title: Battlecharset/Faceset Request (RPGMaker2003)
Post by: KnMsShadowWing on April 11, 2012, 09:34:19 AM
Hello,

I'm asking for a Battlecharset for RPG Maker 2003. No offence but the Charas Battle Animation creator is not very good. But anyway.
It's for a character called Styll. I will provide a picture but if the picture doesn't help i will discribe him.
Styll:
1. Long Black Sephiroth-ish hair.
2. Scar going down left eye.
3. Green wanderers Cloak. Preferably worn like a cape during Battle. Clothes under cloak should be White and Green armor with some disigns or whatever you think would look good.
4. Should hold the sword on his back with two hands like cloud in Final Fantasy.
If some of these are not do'able i completely understand.
Here's the picture:

Now for the Faceset. Its optional. You don't have to do one if you don't feel like it. If you do. Use the picture or the description above for refrence.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Please and Thank you.

You didn't give a style request, you posted a bad image, etc.

Top that off with obvious ff7 fan-boyism and the fact that you are a new member; this is unlikely to be done by anyone.

If you want to change your character a bit so that the Charas battle-character maker will work with it better, that would be my best advice. Your current character, though probably "badass" to you, looks pretty bad. The hair is one solid color, the sword has pixels missing from the handle, etc.

Uh, what Jesus means is not a lot of people here don't do anything anymore. ...yeah...

Have you tried the battle chara generator? It isn't the greatest, but I'm sure you can come up with something matching this charaset. Also, an easy thing you can try if the generator doesn't cut it for you, is to make your own sprite-sized battle chara. Search insaneJP in the complete resources under battlecharasets. He's made some templates you can try your hand with. I suggest this because it's basically copy paste and then some minor editing and you have a battle chara, so it's not too hard to do.

Not sure what you mean by "Style request".

I'm actually not a Final Fantasy fanboy. Never played a FF game actually...

I like the way my character looks. I guess its a matter of opinion. I made him in Charas.EX offline so the Sword missing pixels isn't really my fault.
As for the Charas BattleChar Maker, It really doesn't have many options...It's clearly lacking content compared to the Char and Faceset maker.
By your response i'm guessing you think i'm a little kid. 8 perhaps? add 10 years and you'd be right. No offence but you came off kind of rude.

drenrin,
I have tried the Battle Chara Generator. It just doesn't have much to match my character. I may change him up a bit. And thanks, I'll give that a try.

Thank you.
M.

First off, style means the type of what you want. Example: RTP, Anime-style, Stick-figure, Sprite Sized, etc. You gave no info what-so-ever on the style you want.

It is obvious you made him in Charas maker, and yes, the sword missing pixels is your fault. You are completely capable of going into paint to fix it.

There are "rules or tips" that people posting requests should follow. You didn't follow them, so I didn't feel the need to be real nice with my wording. It was blunt and true.

Your age is irrelevant. By looking at your character I can tell the amount of effort you are willing to put into things :( That is my personal deterrence from helping. If you were to correct these things, as well as post more information, that willingness may change, as it would show that you are willing to put effort into your game.

Well i read the rules beforehand and it seems i didn't follow 2 rules.

I guess i didn't describe it much (Size and other things) and the Style as you said.

and as for your "Personal deterrence from helping". You really didn't say anything helpful. You were mainly being a dick. There's really no reason for it.

Honestly i didn't expect any help cause i saw how dead this section was. I just thought it was worth a shot.

I'm pretty much new to everything RPG Maker. So i apologize if i'm not to your caliber which is apparently on par with God.

I'm sorry for not following 2 rules and i'm ending this conversation.

Good day.

Haven't done much modding lately (ever).

Mic, I know we got rules about requests, but you don't need to be so rude. If you can't be nice when explaining things, just don't reply. Honestly, things have been so slow lately, I'm not sure rules are really pertinent anymore.

Does it really matter if I sugar coat it or say it bluntly dren? We all know what I said was right, and I could care less about how it was delivered.

Blunt and *** are two very different things. I find it really hard to believe you don't understand that.
