Title: Balmung's stuff
Post by: Balmung2281 on November 02, 2013, 10:35:37 AM
I'm not specialist in making chipsets nor music nor battle backgrounds. Most of stuff I'll upload will be battle charsets, charsets and facesets. I love making these (well, battlers not that much, but still). I'm open for all criticism and advices concerning resources. There's no need to credit me if You'll use resources posted here (although it'd be nice). If I needed some samples or schemes to create a resource, I input other authors's names aswell (it'd be a cheating/stealing if I didn't do so). I'm also open for small or decent (not major, heh..) requests.

I'll start off with battle charsets, I guess.

1) Dark female elf battle charset. To make this I got inspired by random picture I found on internet. I believe it was dark elf from Lineage II (or how was that game called). I included that pic in 2nd battle char file.
2) Blue dragon chick battle charset. To make this I got inspired by huge resources database at japanese rm2k website (I mentioned it on 2nd battle char file, aswell). To make dragon wings I used fred's dragon battle chara (credits go to him aswell).

edit: I noticed most of ppl post pics on image hosting websites. Will it be better that way or I can stick to attachment method?

Soon I'll be done with another battle charset, but before it happens I'll upload some stuff.
This time I come with 3 monsters and one facest I ripped from 'Puyo Puyo: Madou Monogatari' game for Sega Saturn. Enjoy.  :)

Wow, nice!
The only thing I think you should improve is that green object on the Gothic-Elf, I'm not sure what it is, maybe a leaf...

Haha, thanks for comment. Not only I should fix "leaf shield", but I noticed minor shading mistakes on elf's suit. I'll correct these soon.

I did a try on this. Battlers aren't my speciality but I have a few years fighting with pixelart.

Keep the good work!

Also, Wcoc, that leaf looks pretty good.

I agree with Prpl_Mage, excellent leaf shield! I'll add You to credits on this battle chara  :) Only thing left I gotta do is correcting shading on elf's suit and post recent battle chara.

edit: Finally fixed gothic elf battlechara and added Wecoc to credits. Now I come up again with new resources. As I promised, a new battlechara (I'm not sure if I won't fix it a bit), a charset and a faceset.

1) Pink soldier lady battle charset. It comes with black collar and thigh band (if someone asked about random unidentified things on it). To make this, I got inspired (as usually) by the nice charset I found on japanese RPG website VipRPG. SaiKar's ponytail girl helped me out a bit with it, so credit her aswell.
2) Laka charset. To make this, got inspired by Serano65's battlechara I found in complete resources section.
3) Another faceset I ripped from 'Madou Monogatari' game.

Right now I'm working on another battle chara. Sadly, I got stuck on one part. It's about chara's cape and hood pattern. I came up with ideas of 4 slightly different patterns, but I dunno which one should I choose to make battle charset. It'd be nice if someone helped me to choose (alternatively, if all of them are lame, to tell me where I made a mistake). Pic includes charset for which I'm doing actual battle charset, hope it'll help somehow.
