Are their any sprite-making programs out there that will auto-create frames for you?
Example: A transformation scene where sprite X is becoming sprite Y, is there a program that can auto-make the transition frames if I wanted 2 frames between X and Y? (quality doesn't really matter).
I have an idea for an enemy that morphs into other enemies, does an attack, then morphs back, but it will be a pain to manually sprite correctly given 4 directions + lots of different enemies. A program would be insanely helpful.

Hmm. I get what you're looking for, but I'm unsure that there are any spriting software out there since I only use paint myself.
However, I remember this being possible to make in photoshop or flash.
Personally I would just make the entire body of sprite X white, then the next frame is sprite Y all white followed by the non filled sprite Y and back again. It's no morphing but it looks decent with quick transitions.

That's a good idea. I'll probably have to end up going with that if there isn't a program that can do it for me.
