Title: The latest Nintendo direct
Post by: Prpl_Mage on April 02, 2015, 07:41:11 PM
So a new nintendo direct played today at http://www.nintendo.co.uk/Misc-/Nintendo-Direct/Latest-Nintendo-Direct/Nintendo-Direct-698557.html (http://www.nintendo.co.uk/Misc-/Nintendo-Direct/Latest-Nintendo-Direct/Nintendo-Direct-698557.html)

Smash bros Mewtwo will be released at the end of april for 3€ and Lucas later in June. There's also a poll at https://cp.nintendo.co.jp/us/ (https://cp.nintendo.co.jp/us/) where you can vote on what other character you would like to see as a DLC in the future. Some people are already complaining about having to pay for the characters. But seriously, All star Battle Royal (yeah that sucky game) still sell their character dlc for 9€.

Also, DLC outfits for Mii characters based on popular characters.

Yoshi and the wool world (or whatever it was called), had some news and a yarn yoshi amiibo (made from actual yarn) also, more Amiibos including cool characters like Ganondorf, Palutena and Zero suit samus.

Mario kart 8 will receive a 200cc "difficulty" with a free update on April 23rd, also another DLC pack for 8€ includes 3 characters, 4 karts and 8 tracks (you can also get both the DLC packs for 12€).

Atlus also presented a trailer of some sort for the Shin megami tensei and Fire emblem crossover. However, beside the anime characters doing fancy things I have no clue what the game is about or how it plays.

Speaking of fire emblems, more information about the coming fire emblem was released, there will be some sort of side choosing deciding the story path the game takes. Also, you create the protagonist much like the last game. Only that Chrom is left out.

And since fire emblem was brought up, Project Steam still looks great as some sort of Valkyria chronicles -ish game. They announced some multiplayer and stuff.

Then Nintendo presented Box boy which is stolen from Fruckert's Kyoob.

Some new pay to win Super Pokemon Rumble World game where you spend crystals to revive or something. And yes, you pay for the crystals.

On a better note Puzzle Dragon X / Super mario bros will be released. It's kind of a pokemon game I suppose.

I remember Nintenyearolds defending Nintendo a few years back that they wouldn't go down this DLC road. Jokes on them.

I guess everyone have to. What is notable however is that the DLC is prizeworthy. I got the Hyrule warriors pack for like 15€ and that's like 4 characters and several hours of content.

Hyrule Warriors DLC was *amazing.* $20 for, like, a hundred or two hundred extra hours of gameplay. That ****'s off the hook.

Man, I've been away from this forum for a good while.  Nintendo seems to be doing DLC the correct way for the most part unlike a lot of the money whores that give you incomplete games.  They know who they is!

Okay since Daoman kicked it might as well update this.

Mewtwo is a solid character, and perfect for those who've wanted him back since Melee. It's pretty much the same as he was.

The new Mario kart 8 tracks are great as well. Baby bay park and the two Z fero tracks works really well with the game. But the 200cc (not a dlc) speed makes the game a lot harder than it was before. I've never had to use the break before.

Also, new DLCs for monster hunter 4 ultimate each month still rolling in.

I really enjoyed the latest DLC for Mario Kart.  Haven't played too much of it, basically beat the cups 50-150cc.  I wonder if they'll keep adding courses.
