Pretty scary at the time but now I'm curious.. Do any of you have similar tales to share?

Swedish weather is pretty non-lethal to be honest. We have snow and that's about it. I'm glad I don't have to worry about storms, floods, earthquakes and drought like this.
Also, better pack some life vests in the car. Always prepared.

I was skating down the road when I was like 14, as I had done many many times before, when I encountered the most dangerous of all obstacles, a pebble. My wheels locked up and my body flew forward uuncontrollably. At that same time a slew of cars was speeding by at 35 mph in the opposite direction. I was not on the sidewalk. There was no sidewalk. I didnt have a helmet to wear. I fell within inches of those speeding cars. I then sat on the side of the road for a good half an hour because I knew if I had slipped and fallen an inch or two in the wrong direction I likely would not be here to write this post.
That was pretty extreme.

I would regularly dart into traffic as a child. Pretty sure I don't deserve to be here right now.
