Title: Super Mario Maker
Post by: Razor on September 18, 2015, 06:38:42 AM
I know some of you clowns must have it.
Let's post levels.

Castle of Modest Fear
2705-0000-0049-3EFD

I just made this sucker. I haven't unlocked everything yet and near the end I unlocked the tier with invisible blocks. I didn't go kaizo on you, don't worry.
Bit of a tough level if I do say so myself.

Planning on getting it but haven't yet. I feel like it's a bit prizy for a mario maker. Might feel inspired after smash stage comes out.

I do agree that it seems expensive for what it is. Still, I want it.

I got it. I've made a few levels, it's pretty fun alright.

I've been trying to do a bunch of the 100 Mario challenges to unlock different mushrooms.

I have the game, I don't really know how to use it yet, but I'm kind of disappointed with it. I would have loved it to go one step further and allow people to make their own Mario world/game instead of just single levels. Basically I wanted to link a series of levels together :/ The customization is alright, but I still wish there was more.

Razor, I played your level. I hate you right now.

I thought it was free. o.o I mean I got a copy free....then again I may have got it illegally without knowing it. But it seems like I got it at the same time I got RPG Maker VX Lite. Either way I haven't gotten it to work yet but I must say the idea of sharing levels sounds interesting but does it have much non-platformer capabilities? I mean could your Terraria it up a little? I mean how much can you make it more than Mario?

Not much. It's MARIO Maker. You make Mario. I mean, you can get a little creative, but it's still Mario.

I somehow doubt you got the game the rest of us are talking about? This is a Wii U title that was recently released.

This.

I wasn't very excited for this game, to be honest....
Then I saw it in action!

Probably the best level editor I've seen since Portal 2!

Is it the same for you where the digital version is like 20€ cheaper than the physical copy?

It is probably because I'm pretty bad at Mario. I was a fool for assuming since I was great as a kid I would still be good. Those hammer guys got me every time. I finally made it past them a few times, and then **** got even crazier, and that's when I quit. I didn't want to risk throwing my remote at the TV. The design was good though.

Made like 9 levels so far.  Half of them people can't seem to beat.  But this game makes me understand why there's so much hand holding in their games.  Like, "oh, there's a random trampoline in a place where it has no use, wth do i do?".  Um...try carrying it to where there's an arrow that points up?  The game tells you where people die.  I definitely made some troll levels though XD.

Okay I'm glad there is a Skip option, a lot of maps are just to mess with people. I played a map where Lakitus drop hammer bros above where you have to run through a terrible maze., it's beatable but depends solely on your luck.

Also, for some reason there are lots of automatic levels, like someone designed the stage so that standing still lets you win it thanks to treadmills, trampolines and stuff like that.

I feel like they could've added a bit more developer tools such as timers, the option to make item blocks give fire flower if you have mushroom or higher, otherwise mushroom. Some more boss options perhaps, or just a way to adjust enemy health to make your own bosses. And while it's great that amiibos unlock alternative looks to use they are only available for the super mario bros style and not the other 2.

Actually a lot of these levels exist just so that stay in rhythm with a certain song. It was a Japanese thing until Super Mario Maker(when they did this using Super Mario ROMHacks) and now is slowly coming here.

I saw a video about that on the Game Theorists channel. It was neat I guess haha

In light of the "new" Super Mario Maker Bookmark site, I am bumping this thread.

Also, here's my thing.  (http://"https://supermariomakerbookmark.nintendo.net/profile/CarbonF")

You're all familiar with Castle of Modest Fear.
The Too Many Cook levels were created by myself, Weregnome and a third friend passing the gamepad around. They're all awful.
The SMW2:YI level is self explanatory.
The Cave of Modest Fear was another attempt at a proper level.
The Tribute level is a reference to this thing (http://"https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kpk2tdsPh0A").

How did none of you actually post any levels? geez

Since they make it a lot easier to share levels now, might as well post it.

Also, all of the Creepy Catacomb levels have creepy easter-egg like areas. Can you find them all?

Well, it only took me about three months, but I finally finished my first Mario Maker level.

That was pretty good. I hope you enjoy those familiar faces I left you with.

I played all three like normal and I don't think I came across any of them. What a pleb!
Good levels though.

here, have my latest piece of work. Inspired by the most recent update and one level I came across where the tunnels took me to a different place than I expected. 38D2-0000-01F0-A023 (https://supermariomakerbookmark.nintendo.net/courses/38D2-0000-01F0-A023)

Lots of people fail to beat my levels.  Probably because I like to throw in puzzle like obstacles.  Mine aren't anything spectacular but if anyone wants to try them just search for my creator name, Ragnell_Lee.  I think the name is  just our network ID?

If you want specific codes, I can do that.  I'll post one for starters.

Mindshock Cavern - 8666-0000-003A-F1BD

Of course you can't search for creators....
