Title: Street Fighter V
Post by: Apex on February 19, 2016, 05:20:32 AM
I grabbed it at launch, and I gotta say: It's a fun game.

Absolutely feels incomplete though. The rest of the game is supposed to come via updates, and with exception to costumes, all are free or can be earned with in-game currency. Capcom's business model seems pretty different this time around, which honestly sounds pretty refreshing. There will be no subsequent releases, I.E. Super, Arcade Edition, Ultra, Third Strike, or Seventeenth Strike the Next Generation Deep Space Alpha Challengers, there will be one disk to rule them all, and all game tweaks, new modes and whatsoevernonsense will be released for free, where new characters will be released monthly, and can be earned with the in-game currency called Fight Money, or purchased with real money as DLC.

So it's missing a few components, and doesn't seem like a complete game at the moment. That being said, the game play is fantastic. It's fun, easy to pick up, hard to master; and very fluid.

I recommend the game if you have the patience to put up with it as it is now, but I can understand if waiting seems more appealing.

My fight ID is superevil

Also it's cross platform between PS4 and PC.

Never been a street fighter fan but I gotta say it looks good. I just hope capcom sticks to their update and dlc theory now.
