Looks like ten days to go. This is a significant savings on a major current release and a great time to pick it up if you want it.

I already own VX Ace (along with XP and 2k3), but haven't had the time to really toy around with it and see what it's capable of. Might be doing some of that this summer, or might stick to 2k3 for now. But it does allow for more complex graphics (higher resolution) for sprites and such, if I recall. That's actually a reduced value for me, as I enjoy the limitations of a simplified pixel art style, but it's good for anyone who wants more freedom in that regard. There's a lot of other stuff that's been updated but I don't know all the details.
