So the new Zelda came along on Friday, any of you guys playing it?
I have started it on the Switch, and it's a masterpiece. I haven't been able to get off the game for anything other than sleeping for the entire weekend. I played about 30h, and I haven't even done 10% of the game, so lifewise, it's incredible. Many good ideas like the will to get over the model of Ocarina of Time (which I found far from being the best Zelda in the first place), finally!
It's just so good to be able to go to every square centimeter of the world, you can climb on pretty much anything, and despite the ennemies being scarce, the game is full of life, beautiful sceneries and secrets. There's always something to look for, exploration is rewarded (unlike many other OW *coughs at Square*), and it's the first open-world that I'm actually enjoying. It's really hard to stick to the story because there is always something to do elsewhere. In 30h I probably just did about 3 hour of main quests. But contrary to other open-worlds I played (Xenoblades on top), it's not boring to explore, and sidequests are not some sort of Fedex/MMO things.
Shrines are so well designed. Even though they are quite short in general (between 5-10 min for the 15 I've done so far), you can see all the good Nintendo did here. They can be well hidden too! I found one in a cave this morning, totally unexpected.
I'm waiting a bit to get it. Played FFXV and now MGS V which are both open world so not really in the mood for another one.
Did you get it for the Wii U or the switch?
I got it for the Switch, as I don't have a WiiU and no games other than that Zelda interests me on the WiiU. I already know I want some other games for the switch so, I just bought one along.
