So Red and I were talking about if I should go ahead and use Purp's old Steam Punk Chain Game style for the battle charas, if it may not detour some because of a lack of skills in spriting larger battlers, then he brought up another more important point:
I'm trying to make a sequel game without knowing how many people have played it. ^^;;; The launch date is many moths away, haven't even got a chapter 1 after all and just got done with Spring Valley, so I think we should discuss this. I mean I get why you might not want to play that old buggy copy. I just found a major flaw in the party change yesterday. <.< AND IT'S MORE THAN A YEAR SINCE LAUNCH!
Huff....puff.....I hate bugs. *Shudders* Anywho! While I go nutso I wanna ask how many of you played it and if you think we should maybe try and re-design the story so it'll not exclude new players and also how we do dat. ._. Teeeellllll meeeeee!!
Also should we use typical sprite size? Or should I expect you all to adapt? Kinda important that.

Pokemon comes to mind! It's got a simple trick for making it so you never have to play the first game to know how it works. I played through Juno's Odyssey 100%, the non director's cut one. I mondo loved playing it.
Am gonna say I would prefer Chara set sized battlers though. _sweat_ Would be mondo hard to make larger stuff.

Well I made a chapter so I played it obviously. But you can probably check the download stats on our itch page.
Gonna be honest though, I don't really feel like I want to work on a sequel to it. We did good.

Think you need to be an admin to see it. But Juno got 79 downloads, Wrath got 143, and the book got 8.
Gonna be honest though, I don't really feel like I want to work on a sequel to it. We did good.
I'm kinda feeling the same, I'd much rather be working on a new thing.

Oh right, it might be worth mentioning that I'm gonna be a dad soon so I won't have as much time to work on projects.

It's not just about getting it right once, the challenge is getting it right again. If you guys are afraid of screwing that up it and are hesitant to try? It makes me truly sad in my heart as I hoped to get the whole team back together and tackle the challenge so few are afforded. I understand though that you will soon be a family man Purps and offer you congrats. I realize this means you will likely go the way of Rahl.
As for quoting this endeavour however I have no intention of quiting. I have no woman of my own, nor any life really outside of scenes, work and failing to have a love life. I crave the challenge of a sequel and this is the only Chain Game that has the hope of becoming one at present as the other have always ended with a bow.
Juno did not. There are many plot points to exploit as well as plenty of Juno's story to tell. I am sad you won't help me shape it.

And now I am a dad, I should still have time for stuff, games on the other hand might not be top priority.
Any suggestions on board games or couch coop? I assume that's what I'll have most time for. Also easier to interrupt if everyone at the scene are affected by screeching.

Moose are you out as well? Even if I lost Red and Purps you did alot of good work and I know you wanted to put in that bounty hunting system and never got to. In the opening act there will be a bounty hunter as that was always a plan even as I'm debating how to write parts for Vanezza, Arry and Tim now without Purps' help.
I also plan to contact Zesh as I would like to see if he'll try his hand at a sequel to the space shooting. As well as Dren for music and his take on Rool's happily ever after plus the choice you made about the Red Plague as it was a factor early in the conception of J.I. I'll even ask AFL to join in as he didn't even get to put in one chapter and I'm fascinated to think what it all would have been like with his added vision, not to mention what we do in A'chia 4 years after the first game as the story will have to change on that basis alone if nothing else. It's going to be, hopefully, a fusion of trying to capture the feel of two of the greatest sci-fi sequels in geekdom plus trying to re-imvent the play style of Juno a little.
Though I will say I have no plans for a trilogy other than a penned spoof using Star Wars The Force Awakens as a template
..which was awesome until Space Balls said they would come back to do.so everyone will think I copied them. -_-;; Even though I had this idea for ages!

Already planned to let you have chapter 2, Zolty cause I knew you would want to work on a chain game. Just keep in mind I'll likely do it either late summer or early fall. Gotta rest up after this one. ^_^;
