An intro?
Make a Common Event, set it to Par. Process, and set it to a switch. At the end, turn that switch on.
Or you could make an AVI file and show it as an intro.

I son't even know what par and switch is....I am new at RM2k3, and I dont understand what that stuff is. So could you try to put it a little more simpler.

New to RPGMaker, eh?
....No problem.
In the main window of the program, press F8 to go into the Database. In the Database, click the Common Event tab. Make a new Common Event, and name it Intro. Near the top-right, there is a drop-down menu. Click it, and choose "Parallel Process". The little box right of that menu should be highlited now. Click the check box, and click the button with "..." on it. A menu should open. Choose one of the blank spots, and name it "Intro". Press OK. Back in the Database main window, put in your script , and turn on the switch Intro when you are done.
Hope it helps.

Parallel process is pretty muchwhen you make something happen while something else goes on, and a switch is VERY useful, so you can have an event happen, and then you can make it not happen again. It also can make someone joining your party remove them from the map.

...Ahem...to be a little more clear: There are three ways a Common Event (an event that can occur at any time in your game) can be made to happen. It can be "called" by another event, or it can happen on its own (Auto Start or Parallel Process) When an event i set to Auto Start, other things in yor game, (like NPC's or the hero walking) will not happen until the event ends, on Parallel Process they can still happen.
A switch is something that can be either on or off, you can set an event that will only happen if a switch is on, have the switch on the first time that event is triggered, then turn it off after the event happens, so it will only happen once.
If you still don't get it that's okay it took me a while too, just ask around and I'm sure someone will help.
