Well, after a month, the contest is over, so the contest is actually useless after that. I think that there will be another one, but until that day, maybe we could have a sort of award. What do you think?

The categories I thought up:

Oh yeah, you can temporarily nominate here.

About myself, I don't know if I'm participating, because it's up to you. If you want to nominate someone, nine others must agree.

Myself, I want to nominate the next three people for the programmers category:

Alex
DeKoffie
GPI

Note that you may only nominate three for each category. This is because there are too many people here. Oh yeah, the ones I nominated for the programmers category are automatically the nominated ones, because they are the only three programmers. Or aren't there?

Uhm...
Don't know if programmes category is so right, just because not everyone who program have lot of chances to show his own work, here. Also you with your flash tutorial are a programmer, no?
Anyhow, an award cannot be given in the hand of a single person: i guess the best should be a voting.
Something outside the forum should be fun! What if i create a new php page from which anyone can vote compiling a module (only 1 time, as a pool), without making public the results till the end?

Well, I think it's a good idea, but let's wait until the contest is near its end.

So don't nominate yet.

Oh, if you have a suggestion about the categories, or questions, ask here.

The contest is finally near to the end.
So it's time to begin thinking on this awards! ;)

Well, right now i'd like to define better the categories: do you think awards has to be given only for in-charas activity or not?
I mean if you feel awards and contests about programming, other sites etc should be also a good idea or not (ok, ok, in case of php contest i'll not parecipate... XD!)

So we now need to divide community awards from internet awards.
The first branch is about users themselves (best resource, best partecipation, best forum help, best docs.....)
The second is for outside things (such as best sites supporting charas, best resource site and so on).
Now, i'd like to hear what do you think about all of this: your ideas, your projects, your feels.
Something like what Gary did in the firt post.
Tnx!

Well, I also think there should be an award for best RPG site. An official Charas Site Award:)

I think it's a good idea. I'll make a text file with all the categories devided. I'll drop some, because else it would be too big.

Ok, first test page created.
You can find it here: http://charas-project.net/awards.php
It is really simple, only the proposal of Gary written in a form.
Graphical layout will be surely changed, anyhow it is a first try ;)
What i have in mind: creating a place for users to rate different categories.
I think access will be done via the Forum's login-password, to avoid double rates. Changes will be possible, but erasing the old ones.
Now, again: what do you think of this possible implementation?
Do you think should be better to leave free fields (as they're now) or to limit the choice using select boxes?
And, in this last case, who will define the possible option values?

P.S.: the form online does nothing, right now.
P.S. 2:I love this kind of "live-programming" ;)

Hehehe, well, it seems that an old idea gets forgotten soon. Anyways, since I don't see any plans for a new contest, why not kicking up the old awards?
