Title: "Resources contest"?

I see that lot of you use custom resources in Charas, so i was thinking in something useful and funny:
What about a "resources contest"?

This is only a proposal, up to now i only wish to know if someone should be interested, before beginning (you know, a contest needs both "concurrents" and "judges"...) ;)

So here i report some possible general rule lines: fell free to comment them out and let me know if you think it's a good idea or not! :D

PROPOSAL OF RULES FOR THE "RESOURCE CONTEST"

The resources must be:
- good positioned (no problem in sovrappositioning)
- original by you (not by 3rd persons)
- applyable to the existing charas section's base bodies

I think judges have to be at least 3 or 4, so 1 or 2 places are free.
If you'd like to be a judge:
- you cannot be a concurrent too
- you have to share at least 3 original resources made by you

Prizes (well, i am not that rich, so....)
- 1th, 2nd and 3rd place: a credit table in the home page of both charas and the forum
- form 4th to 10th place: a credit in a dedicated page, reachable from a link placed in the winners's table

Is here anyone (for example: who'd like to be a judge...) the would like to create the "resource contest banner"?
Something as a colorful anigif with a short text similar to "join the Charas Resource Contest!".

Let me know if someone is interested in creating this (it should be for the first page, so nothing too big!). If not, i'll simply put it in the news... :p

I'd like something for the first page of Charas too: is possible to make a smaller version for this use?
I mean (looking at available spaces) something that can be displayed on the right side, over the affiliates or in replace of the upper-right image on top.

You only have 2 uploaded resources each, and excepting the scouter they're face recolors. Please create something more, possibly something that really shows you deeply knows how charas resourcing is. A judge has to show to everyone he knows the laws, to judge (and i think this is also correct against participants).

NO USE:
The bloody head you've submitted is to partecipate or to be a judge? PLease let me know. Anyhow in both cases, i'll wait for the
"almost white" remake of it, as discuss via email.

Onichi:
As told before, may you post your resource in the contest thread, if it's the one you want to partecipate with?

1) new knight helm? In sharing i see 3 resources from you, but all about your new style tall body. No knight helm there. May you try to re-upload it? thanks!

2) about your new body: it should be a base for a new section, because tall stuffs aren't applyable to it. If this is what you was thinking about, then we need to discuss the new "tall-thin" section!
Right now you've posted a body, a face and a dress: to create a new section i need at least one stuff per section (so an hair and an item too) and at least 10 resources in total. If you plan to do more for it, please let me know, so i'll prepare the base for it!
This would be great, a good way to begin creating other non-rtp stuffs!!!

What i need:
To know if everything sounds good to you
The 2nd contest logo ;)

This time there are many more users, and the first contest as example. I really expect this 2nd one will be great.
So, judges too has probably to grow: i was thinking in "rules".
Something as:
- Judgement for "tech" (skillness in use of particular tecniques, right color usage, positioning, etc...)
- Judgement for "look" (simply "how beautiful the resource is")
- Judgement for "all" (all together is the real resource, no?)

If you feel you can REALLY handle one of these (being objective, i mean), propose yorself here. But remember that judges CANNOT partecipate too.

I'm just wondering, cause it might get a little chaotic when u guys gotta judge like a billion face and character images....

Anyways, I was bored and couldn't get to sleep, so I made this. It's a countdown thingy which you can include in your PHP scripts. The bad thing is you'll have to set it on the day after ending. I already done it for you, so no need for customizing... unless you want to get rid of that date thingy...

Separately, of course.
There will be 2 main categories: charasets and facestes.

Well, the main requirement for being a judge is that you need to have at least 3 custom sprites, and with custom I mean not ripped or recolored or something. And since I made several customs (like teh Rayman suit or the Kavu-Ruvi monster body) I can be judge. Plus I already participated on the first one, making it 3 more customs. I actually don't know how many customs...

Anyhow, looking in the thanksgiving page you actually have 1 charaset and 8 complete. So you only have 1 resource, right now...

Cosmo: This would be great! But are you sure you want to be a judge? Remember that you cannot partecipate too, if so.

Because I see many people who aren't reading the rules properly, or post wrong things. We need to avoid these situations, because people could get angry if theirs is disqualified.

Ofcourse, resources with a wrong background ARE allowed (they get some points less).
