For some reason, by little brother doesn't like The Legend of Zelda.  Please give me your opinions on it.  Maybe it'll sway his.

OoT was one of the best games I ever played, it has almost everything.
The Legend of Zelda's are A-rank games, don't forget that.

Meh... the only ones I've played are Legend of Zelda and Link to the Past... Legend of Zelda is okay IMO, but I hated LttP.

One of my favourite games.
Unforunatly it's a game that fanboys love.... this means lot's of crappy fangames, since most people don't even know how to make a simple action battle system.

The Legend of Zelda the best game Nintendo has ever made exept for wind waker I din't like it that much but the new one is going to better than OOT  ;)

Oot is still a great game by todays standards. great music (like, 25 songs!) great graphics (AT THE TIME) and great gameplay.

and if you were lucky enough to get the bonus disk with WindWaker when it first came out since you never bought the one on N64 like I was, well, then, you're lucky. like I was.


I really, REALLY hope they do they same with Lylat Wars with Starfox armada (let the porting continue!)

Eh, I thought it was an ok series. The overall feeling I got with all the games was that it was great fun at first, but halfway-3/4ths the way through the game gets boring.

I liked Zelda Alttp and Oot. They were both awsome. Zelda got me to like Nintendo. Not that fat plumber Mario.<(just my opinion)

Actually, he also hates Soul Calibur II, and many good graphics games.  Oddly enough, he is obsessed with Morrowind, but still hates Zelda.  I'm very confused.

Wow, you're saying you never got the N64 original AND you love it? You're the first I've met so far.
OoT is definately my favourite game ever. It's one of the rare games that really makes you feel satisfied on completion. Not many others have managed that for me.

The thing that makes the Legend of Zelda special, and different from other game series, is that the main person isn't always the same person, in spite of similarities. So far there are 5 different Zelda (OoT, WW, LttP, LoZ, LoZ2 (where you can hear about two Zeldas)), 4 different Links (OoT, WW, LttP, LoZ), and some other characters, like Impa, the Zora (evolved in the 'future'), and some other people. There is however only one Ganon, and he survived every period.

Another thing that makes LoZ special is the fact that it all resolves on the Triforce.

A third thing: allthough the world is in danger, it isn't pandemonium. Even in the hardest times people are still happy.

I own the original Links Awakening for gba, my opinion is that it's the best gameboy game ever made except for pokemon gold/silver, i have played OoT and that's was the best game for N64, and it goes on, but i still think nintendo's best game series is metroid.

Well, the only Zeldas that I actually played were Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. Ocarina of Time was great! I'd say the only thing I didn't like about that game was the Water Temple. Damn that was hard. Oh, and Ganondorf was too easy IMO. Majora's Mask was great too. I don't care what anybody says. The plot, the gameplay, graphics, music, they were all great. I'd have to say that OoT was better though. They both kicked @$$ though. I loved playing those games. Good times, good times. :D

BTW: I can't say it's the greatest game ever though because Chrono Trigger is the best game ever. Screw all you Halo fans! J/k :P
