I know that. But...we were basing this new logo off active members. Most of the ones on the old logo aren't even on anymore. So, we made a thread with a big list of the active members (which most are a part of the community), and had those members post their chars. So, when we were done with that, wildguy made the logo. But it didn't look as good without the facesets, so I made one with those same people with their chars and faces. I didn't just pick these people randomly. They're people who I've seen on a lot now for a while, and they're part of the community.

I didn't just cut and paste peoples' icons. I had to get all of their avatars first. Then, I had to get the charas from that other logo. Then, I had to refit them in by individually tracing the chars so that the background in it wouldn't scewer the avatar. I tried to make things look nice, but there seems to be a fuking problem with it no matter what.

I don't like GC's either - what does a priestess from Ragnarok Online have to do with Charas? And it's too much his style. Everything you make, GC, has that same tiny font and the same types of fades, and it gets really boring seeing that in all of your work.

I'll answer my own question. Why did I do this? Because I wanted to make a contribution. I can't make poses for characters, or make sweet title and gameover screens, or make battle chars, or weapon sets, or sprites. I can't do that. I don't have the skills to do it. The only way I can help people out is by making maps (which there are rarely requests, or I can't do it) and finding things on the net for them. That's it. I can't contribute to the forum in any way. So I wanted to make some kind of contribution to the forum, but seeing as I don't have the fuking photoshop skills and someone else does and can make it better, I guess I was wrong in this damn idea too. So there goes my attempt at a contribution, right down the fuking toilet.

Ghostclown, stop protecting carmen like she's your girlfriend. Her banner was basically the one above with faded avatars. She made it awhile ago, but that doesn't automatically shove it up in ranking.

Rev, I don't think Alex would be happy with you portraying him as a Pac-Man-esqe man who likes the autumn colors on the main banner.
I'm not attempting a banner because all that would acomplish is someone thinking that the reason why I don't like anyone else's so far is because I want my own banner up there. Ace, trim some people from that banner. Then, make another banner from the trimmed people, and a few more who want to be on the banner. Then, we can code a quick PHP script that will load a random banner up top of the page, either one, so no one is a bitch about how they're not on the banner.

Though this is a Rm2k(3) site, so chars do make it look 'charas'y. So instead of putting people who happened to be considered active at the time, why don't we put the active admins (Alex, Sai'kar, and Kijuki) and maybe some major mods.

i would like a new one, as when that one was made a bunch of newbs and a few older ppl just got put in it, but i think it should be updated, but i dont want it undated if its going to caus so much fuss, i think we should have the one ace made, as it like the old one, but bigger so it fits with the adverts and that, but i dont really mind,
most forums i go to the banner means everythingg, it definde the forum, bar a few, but charas i think its the MEMBERS that make it soo cool, and its the members that define the forum, so dose this banner really matter? no, BUT i still think we should have one, becuase people can say, im in that, i helped, i put something into charas, and thats a nice thing to do, and those not in it could be in the next one, as this will get boring , and someone will change it again...

Ghostclown, I don't usually fight the admins but you're using the 'respect' you get from everone here to your own ends. Some say that a banner shouldn't just be the current members- but the banner you made was completely made by you! Admin or not, you own this forum as much as anyone else. Having the banner completely yours wouldn't show that. You're trading in the loyal members of the forum for 'style'.
Basically, this forum is about mates helping each other out. Many members (Including me) are overjoyed by the fact that they've made a good impression, and proud that they will be added into the banner. At least allow this one to be put up in the forum pages.
Also, what does Alex think about all this? He's the boss, anyway.

1. I was gone for a few days, and the last time I saw this thread, it was on page 7, now it's on 12, and most of it was spamming.
2. I have tried constantly getting ahold of Alex, I dunno if my messages are not getting ahold of him or he is ignoring me.
3. Ace, I appreciate defending while I was away.
4. I don't think this is the correct thread to hold quarrels with other people, this is my thread.
5. I liked the idea that this would be a group project, and people will get to post their charsets, just like the old banner, except no avatars, in which Ace made that possible and I like his more than mine.
6. What I have against AOL is that it charged me about $0.50 per minute when I used it, and it's incredibly slow. Plus, you can't use Internet Explorer, which is the worst thing about it. And too much advertising. And too many annoying voices.
7. Carmen, that is why I wanted Alex to reply to this thread before more hopes ascended, but there was no reply. Now that hopes are high up, that's the only thing we have left. And no, it's not going to be funny.
8. My interest stays with the banner that Ace made, no one else's.
