Having problems with the maps

Hi, I'm new here, and I just wanted to know. On RPG maker 2003 everytime I make a map and place everything it works just  fine, you know, everything is placed fine. When I try to make another map, the first map gets distorted from the new map's... well, map. Please help! I don't know what to do, and I can't go on, because the exits and things are messed up.
