Silent Hill
« on: June 04, 2006, 09:32:14 AM »
I went to see Silent Hill yesterday and I'm proud to say that it's a great video-game based movie. It surpasses Resident Evil, not by much, but it does surpasses it. (Note: I'm an RE movie fan, so that doesn't really count for much). Now I haven't finished Silent Hill, but for so far it got, they feature a lot of stuff from the game. The car crash, the cop, the dark alley in the beggining, cell phone going off when a monster appears etc.

Everyone that likes this movie can watch it without feeling they raped the game.

Best video-game based movie (without counting FF7:AV, which is more a sequel to the game) till Metal Gear Solid by Hideo Kojima is released over 1 to 3 years.

I don't know, I've seen a whole forum who love pyramid head and yet feel moderately disappointed about the movie.

From what I've heard about it, it can't be better. I heard it was a total piece of trash that Uwe Boll raped in the ear.

If this implies you found the movie bad, then you have absolutely no taste.

As for a sequel, hmmm... could be. I just found it a nice depressing ending.

It was a joke... <_<

From what I've heard about Silent Hill, it's a decent movie. I'll probably wait until it's on the freebie movie channels before watching it, though.

Silent Hill is an awesome movie, it wasn't really scary though like I thought it'd be. But the movie had a complex story, it kept you guessing, it had some pretty sweet scenes, I loved it. Though I didn't get what happened at the very end, it kinda confused me, I'll have to pay closer attention to the detials next time I watch it.

I doubt there will be a sequal to this, and if there will be, I don' think it'll continue on from this movie, it'd be like a whole seperate thing. They left you hanging, but it was in a way that was supposed to get the viewer to watch the movie a couple of times to figure out what happened. I don't think it was something that was meant to be left to another movie.

Hell Yeah! Just recovered all my old rm2k/3 games from my 10 year old, broken laptop hard drive that had been formatted and had a new OS installed on it. Oh, and I did all of this from my phone. WIN

To explain it:

In the end, Rose (that was her name, right?) is still in that Silent Hill dimension, not in the real world.*HUGE SPOILER**HUGE SPOILER**HUGE SPOILER**HUGE SPOILER**HUGE SPOILER**HUGE SPOILER**HUGE SPOILER**HUGE SPOILER**HUGE SPOILER*
