Ike and the dudes are a bit evil in Fire emblem radiant dawn. But the rest of that storyline was messed up with **** hitting the fan.

Emule could've grown a pair throughout the entire game, and they kept throwing Richters fabulous quote in your face all the time but beside that it was rather entertaining, but not even close to as great as the original game. Starting a new game+ with your 2 lvl 99-ish lunar wolves-ish sidekicks were a bit fun, but then it stopped being entertaining.

I work in a game store and they have these trailers they play on loop, the FFXIII-2 trailer being one of them. Can I just say that every time it comes on I want to cut my ears off.

I think 9 was the doom point for FF.

I think you need a slap on the face for that.

 anyway, Final Fantasies? I like 6, 7, 9 and 12.

And Tactics. Which is more a Tactics Ogre game but whatever.

I dislike Dissidia. It represents everything Squeenix is doing wrong currently.

Ha, I was going to bring up Radiant Dawn as "sequels can be better than the original" myself. Doubt this will be one of them, but it's possible.

As for FFXIII-2, I've seen a lot of the game around, and eh. Maybe I'd be interested if I really cared about any of the characters. It's FF; you have to go in at this point knowing the story's going to be kind of absurd, but what I've seen of this one is absurd in a way that just doesn't interest me.

I will say, I really like the character designs, though. Vanille and Fang were both well-designed in the original, and I'm glad they have more characters with that "look" to them.

Okay so I watched some streams of this. Seems pretty much like the original game. Paradigm shifts, auto battle, reused graphics, onscreen encounters. Story seems really messed up but I'm betting that people that thought ffxiii was an okay game without counting lightning will think this is an okay game as well. Thinking about getting it since it's not at all as expensive as the original(whether that's a good thing or a sign for something waits to be seen) but I'm keeping my hopes up for the Last story and hoping that xenoblade chronicles is pretty good.

The story is very discombobulated, because of the very messy time traveling mechanic.  At some parts of the game, you don't even have an idea at what point the story continues.  I have no idea how famitsu gave this 40/40. Oh yeah, I do; $$$.

And the frame rates. OMG It doesn't matter how pretty the game looks, it feels like i am playing a very laggy MMO.

On the ps3 or the 360?

Anyway, watched some more, seems like they fixed that crystagen-majing which acted like the sphere grid in ffx, this time it isn't affected by the storyline progress - thank god. And there's a shop in the game, although it's some crazy lady in a chocobo outfit or something.

Also what's up with all these time travel/paradox storylines these days? Do the creators think that it's the only way to stop us from predicting exactly what's going to happen next? It's just getting messy and not at all comprehensible.

Well it's a weird mix of on-screen, and off, for battles. They appear like normal, random encounters, and poof on-screen, so you can run away, but once you touch them, it's on a new screen. It's kind of a 'best and worst of both worlds' situation.
