If SE makes another FF movie (which they will) it should either be an original one based off of the games (not post-apolcalyptic like Spirits Within), or a mash-up of FFIV-X (imagine Kefka, Kuja and Seymour running around together... priceless) and try and make a coherent storyline with it.

Okay, the characters from every Final Fantasy game are brought through a time protal to the same dimension, and the baddies team up and the goodies team up! It's brilliant! No one's ever thought of this!

Yeah, that's probably the only way that could happen. So it probably won't happen, which sucks, because I really wanted to see Fighter, Kain, Strago, Steiner and Yuna beating up Ultros in a ruined Midgar

If ff7 ac turns out good, they'll probably make another movie, but I doubt it'll be original because of the flop the spirits within had.

Well, like I said - if they use more FF elements but an original storyline, it could very well make a good movie. Spirits Within was nothing like the games, which is why it didn't do very well.

you're being sarcastic, right? the entire Capom SNK Marvel VS. series... no offense just sayin

well if there's anymore FF media it should be more anime like FFU
 
But I admit it does look pretty cool and would probably be better in HiDef-3d, like Kuja (even though it was that midget style) and Cloud. Kain and Dark knight Cecil would be great to see, and I'd like to see Edge & Shadow-- well, practically everybody except Cait Sith would be cool to see. but this is only hoping, huh? A giant mega-series crossover game.  I can't think of a plot for it at the moment

Yeah I know, I just don't think square-enix would risk it for a while. Most of the FF elements come from there story lines which are very complex and epic, which would be impossible to fit into an hour and a half movie. I don't think they could pull off making an original movie even if they threw chocobos in, but it would be cool if they could.

FF - Movie Trilogy?

The only plots i can think of is the aforementioned time portal, or something along the lines of: Every FF world exists on the same world, and the continents are just big islands, and there's some big evil entity that is preventing each "world" from accessing each other, but the Cids from each world create seperate devices that destroy the invisible overworld looping walls, and they all meet each other and go destroy the big evil entity guy and stuff. It's an FF plot, but on a way bigger scale.

And imagine a "Who's the most evil?" contest between the villians:

"Kefka: Uwee hee hee! I'm the most evil! I have no heart!
Sephy: I tried to destroy my world with a meteor to become a god! How's that?
Kuja: I just wanted to destroy everything!
Chaos: Shut up, you're too girly to be a villian!
Exdeath: I'm a tree! That has to count for something!
Kefka: Shut up! *burns Exdeath*
Ultimecia: I hate all of you! *uses time powers to crush Kefka*
Golbeze: I'm still the best! I'm from the moon! *uses magic moon powers on Sephy*
Emperor of Palameica: ...I feel so left out...
Dark Cloud: Me too..."

what about the resurection of the FF enemies? An exclusive FF-crossover boss? i wanna draw something!! but I have no idea what kind of person/thing this could be....

DB: Yes, but that's because the wirters of those games were 13-year-old kids who couldn't think of a good plot that combines the FF characters. If someone could manage to do that, I'd have no problem with it.
