The guitar and piano seem to be playing in different tempos at some parts (different from each other), and it is not just dotted notes, or notes on the off-beats, it's completely different tempos. Accelerando is nice at first, but the wonky tempo just isn't to my taste. The accelerando around 2:40 is a bit abrupt, you might try to ease into that by extending the time in which you have to achieve the needed tempo. Toward the end the bass is out of tune.

Also, the piano's a bit syllabic, you might try for more dynamics.
Have you considered changing the bass part to a violin or viola? Or arranging in a flute? That might sound nice.

That sounds mean, but it's not a negative opinion I have. Good work ^^.

Thanks for the comment. The guitarist, I found out yesterday, didn't even listen to recording before recording his part (I e-mailed him the file), so I probably won't be working with him again. As for the comment about dynamics, that is probably a result of my synthesizer. It doen't have a great range, and it is quite sensitive to the touch. I've been working on a more orchestral sounding peice that you may like, and I will upload it soon, once I finish it.

I definatley liked the first one, and agree that the guitar could have been a little better placed. You're piano playing skills are pretty good though. If I owned a piano I'd practice every day, cause I really wish I could play piano.

This was recorded a while a go, but I want some feedback anyway. I played the synth, and my friend eric played guitar.

First one reminds me of the old Haynes commercial. Just try singing "Wait til we get haynes on you" to it. I like the last one best.

Ratings! I recently went to concert w/ my school band.  Heheh... I just had to do this... >.>

Final.mp3
(Remember, on a score of 1 to 5, 1 is the highest)

Tuning:
The guitar seemed fantastic as well as the piano. Nothing I heard wrong here. But, at the end, the lower notes seemed a little flat to me. But, overall, the tuning was great.
Score - 1

Flow:
The accelerandos and ritardandos seemed great! In a few places it seemed a tad off, but other than that, it was pretty good. The guitar seemed to be off tempo on the acc. every now and then, but was fine on the rit. I especially like the middle rit.
Score - 2

Quality:
This was the best. No comments needed.
Score - 1

Overall:
This was a great tune. I loved it! You are a great composer and I look forward to hearing more!
Final Score - 1

A Warm Place.mp3

Tuning:
The tuning was perfect! There! That's it!
Score - 1

Flow:
The chords were wonderful. I was amazed at how well they worked together! It made want to sleep because it was so relaxing and calm, but something about it was also keeping me awake. Thas was fantastic.
Score - 1

Quality:
Read 'Tuning.'
Score - 1

Overall:
This was a great tune! I was amazed at how everything fit together! No brainer what the score will be here!
Final Score - 1
