Project: Corsal Vengance

My hard drive recently crashed and I lost everything so I finally decided to get serious with this game once and for all.

Gameplay Ideas:

Magic:
- The arts known as "Magic" will not used in this game. It will be replaced with an art known as "Koruu".

Items and Equipment:
- You will not only find tresures in this game, you will also find lose swords, potions, et cetera.

Battle system:
- I never did a custom battle system before so there wont be one in this game yet. I will be using a modified version of the default battle system
However, I am planning to make a Zelda Style CBS that will only be used at certain parts of the game, your levels and equipments will not effect the outcome of damage but you will be able to use potions to recover your health.

Enviroments and effects:<
- I decided to make it a bit more chalenging and interesting to create this game by atempting to create more of a envirement to the game so there will be more of a "feel" to it than most rm2k3 games.

Traders:
- You will find traveling merchants (like in Fable) where you can buy stuff from them and trade stuff for money.

Saving:
- I have not yet decided what type of saving I will use. Possibly save points but they are really overdid. I will try to put some kind of autosave after important things like bosses and such.

Journal?:
- Not sure if I should do this but maybe I will make some kind of a journal in case people play the game and stop for a while and then decide to play again. They will obviously forget what they did and have to do so with this they can easilly be reminded.

Menu System:
- I never did any CMS before but I will try to do something. I will use the DMS for a couple things tho.

Story So Far:

The brother of Syn (hero, no I did not take the name from FFX's Sin, It is short for Syntax) sends Syn into the past so he can take control of Syn's army and start the biggest damn war that will possibly end the world's existance (your probly like wtf, thats lame and cliche'd like mad).
Anywho, Syn doesent remember anything from the future, he doesent even know he was sent to the past. All he remembers is waking up in a forest and going to a village that was almost soulless...

The forest was banned for the villagers to go in but some still did and when they never returned.
In the forest laid the time warp, hidden and can only be unlocked by a certain power.

Eventually the seal breaks and the whole village goes in the future, left with nothing but trees.
Syn is then sent in the unknown forest to find help. He then comes across a little gnome creature called "Guu". Guu leads him to a small hut in the forest where 3 charpenders live. Syn brings them back to the people that once lived in a village and they need a couple things so they can start building a village for the people. Syn then goes to get the needed things.

(Everytime you finish a dungoun or whatever it may be, a new house will then be built when you go see the village)

This is about it so far.

If you have any suggestions or antything dont hesitate to post them. Thanks

I will try to post screenshots asap. I dont have enough for now.

Thanks in advance to everyone who will help me with this project because I will need some.

Yeah I know you'r allready helping.
You only time travel at the beginning. And maybe sometime further in the game, not decided yet.
Maybe il have it that you have to time travel sometime to kill someone in the oposite force when he had less commandement power.
That should be cool.

It sounds really cool. I don't really think its cliche, or at least there doesn't seem to be any 'big bad' cliches in the game.

I love Guu, its a great name :p What kind of creature is Guu? It sounds like a slime.

Hell Yeah! Just recovered all my old rm2k/3 games from my 10 year old, broken laptop hard drive that had been formatted and had a new OS installed on it. Oh, and I did all of this from my phone. WIN

Good point. I might change his name. Of well, we'll call him Guu for the meantime.

Yes but he goes to the past at like the first 10 seconds of the game xD
and then goes to the future like 15 minutes after. The rest of the game is in the future...

But its not really far in the future like 100 years. I was thinking about maybe 5-10 years max.

I'll try to make it less comfusing as possible.
