I sure do hope that everyone is talking about the poster's game in this thread..

Next post that isn't about this game is being delete - this is the first, and only warning.

Then make a topic asking for help like the several other noobs on here instead of saying: "OMG I have a game. But, you're supposed to assume that this isn't about a game and I just need you to take time outta your life to help someone that's never contributed to charas at all to help me map and code!!!!"

And, you can't get the good without the bad shorty. Either you don't let us say anything about the game, or you take them both, because no body is going to go: "ZOMG that... um... map is good" or something like that about your game without someone else saying: "That map has some major issues going on."

Thus, you should just make a topic asking for help.

I'm not going to help someone for no reason. This is an economic system, and I won't do anything without insentive or benifit. I have no insentive to pay you back for something you've done for me or the charas public, and I recieve no benifit from stopping my game to aids yours that you will most likly quit soon because this appears to be your first game and everyone quits their first game, even I.

You are very wrong this is my around 30th game...I have had over 5 rpg makers,(illegaly stupid danm laws!!!) and have not completed any besides another wich i am working on with another rpg maker.  And I have come close to completeing some but have not...  So for this game I decided I was going to not give up and stop like all the others...  So I realy could care less that you are not helping me.

*ahem* I suggest you work on the characters first, get some personalities. There's plenty of mapping tutorials, which you badly need, and there's lots of resources in complete resources. You need a plot, you need some innovation, you need alot of work. I suggest you start working on one of these things now, then post us evidence to show you're working on your game. That help enough? step by step.

Dude, I have basically the same scenario. I've tried many RPGMakers, on the PS, PS2, and Computer. It kinda blows when you realize half way through your game that the rm you're using ain't gonna cut it and sucks total balls.

I agree with Moosetroop tho. Even though your Graphical skills could use some work, don't forget about the story either. There are tons of tutorials that give you tips and pointers when making a character. There's one by Dragonblaze that points out some good character cliches to avoid. So, take a look.

So should I start the game like in the cityor somethig so that the player would get to no the character before actualy starting the main part of the game?

Yes, that would be called an intro. It's better for you to start a game off so the person can get used to the feel of things before jumping off into a heated battle.
