Overly-strict government/surveillance reference? UK government? Internet censorship?

Screaming Eagles being a TF2 Soldier reference, or one of the many other things it could be a reference to?

Yeah, I caught the Screaming Eagles thing, too.

Unless that wasn't something to be caught. In that case, I didn't catch it.

For the record:
1. The Screaming Eagles was a reference to Team Fortress 2 where the Soldier sometimes says it, but as a google search soon pointed out other teams have taken that name, so yeah.
2. Wild Cats was a reference to an episode of The Simpsons, where Bart's football(?) team the Springfield Wildcats go up against the Shelbyville Wildcats, which I think is a reference itself to either a common name, or just humour in the same name.
3. George Orwell and the first panel text is a reference to the constantly reappearing novel 1984 which he wrote, which you might remember is a best seller at the moment.
4. The scores are 62 and 49, that one is obvious.
5. I'm not quite sure what it is, but that bird looks familiar... Oh yes, and he has nothing to do with the dead bird. Try again.

There's a wall near my classroom at TAFE with 4 extra pins and a blank spot. I wanna print out a comic and stick it up there. lol
