Midi problem
« on: August 05, 2007, 11:40:23 AM »
In all RM2K games that I have played or made (I haven't tested RM2K3 yet), the bgm midis occasionally play with piano sounds instead of using the correct instruments assigned to them. Sometimes they play correctly, though.

I've heard before that this is some kind of sound card complication, but I would like to get a confirmation on that and see if there is any way to fix it.

Is it all midi's that you play?

If so, it is most likely a problem with your midi controller.  The most effective solution would be to reinstall your midi controller and/or synthesizer.  If the problem still persists, try downloading the standard midi controller, Microsoft GS Wavetable SW Synth.  Hope you are able to fix your comp. issues.

That happened with me in the first, second and third episodes of The Way!  I only figured it was done with switches is some strange way.

I suggest you leave it.  It's cool to have a bit of variety to the music.

Yeah, that sounds right. I'll try that.
