How does this work?
« on: September 05, 2007, 11:53:55 PM »
Yeah, so I missed another Raffles comeback becuz I was at school. Whatever, anyway, I just saw this image (which is attached)

My only question is how can a banned member browse a thread and be logged in?

I noticed glitchy stuff like that last night. I had moved a thread into a non-public forum and it stayed on the public top ten for some time afterward.

I didnt think much of it.

But see, this thread had been locked long before I saw that, and the man was banned alongside. Then he suddenly appears, read the thread, and leaves.

The way I remember the code, areas are either tagged as "secure", for lack of a better term, or not. If a page has the secure code at the top, it checks if a person is a registered member or not, and pushes them away if they aren't. At the same time, if they are a registered member, it checks if they've validated their registration or if they're banned. So banned people can still read.

Or something.
